Description

From the Australian tour accompanying the release of the album “Thick As A Brick” in 1972, the performance at Apollo Stadium in Adelaide on July 8th is the first appearance from a cassette master leaked by a related party, although it was an audience recording (for reference?)! The sound quality is also recorded at a top-class level for the audience of this era, and you can enjoy the spectacular performance with unbelievable high sound quality. This set reminds me of the Japanese tour that took place after this, and the reproduction of the masterpiece “Thick As A Brick” album from (Disc 1) to the first half of (Disc 2) is overwhelming. After that, familiar representative songs such as “Cross-Eyed Mary”, “A New Day Yesterday”, “Aqualung”, and “Wind Up” continue, but unfortunately, the pitch becomes unstable at the last song Wind Up, probably because the recorder’s battery power ran out. However, it can be said that the take recorded with such high sound quality is definitely a must-listen for fans. (Disc 1): 01.Introduction / 02.Thick As A Brick (Disc 2): 01.Thick As A Brick (Cont.) / 02.Cross-Eyed Mary / 03.A New Day Yesterday / 04.Aqualung / 05.Wind Up Ian -Recorded Live at Apollo Stadium,Adelaide,Australia 8th July 1972- Anderson (Vocal,Flute ,Guitar & Mandolin) / Martin Barre (Guitar) / Jeffrey Hammond (Bass) / John Evan (Keyboard) / Barriemore Barlow (Drums & Percussion)
