Description
Following the release of “Guitar Shop” in 1989, he toured the US with Ray Vaughan as a double headliner from October 25th to December 12th. The performance at Troy Field House in New York on November 12th, the middle of the tour, was recorded in full with a high-quality audience that could be considered A-rank at the time. This is the first time that all of the performances have been recorded in full, although some of the recordings have been distributed in recent years. First of all, it is a live performance of Beck, who is in a trio formation for the first time in 16 years since B.B.&A., and is bassless. And with the participation of the strongest drummer Terry Bozzio, the performance is several times more spectacular than the studio album. In the encore “Goin’ Down”, he also performed with Ray Vaughan. And in the second half of the show, Ray Vaughan’s live performance was also amazing, and in the final song “Voodoo Chile”, the performance was overwhelming, as if Jimi Hendrix had taken over the performance. Ray Vaughan passed away less than a year after this performance, so this is a recommended item for fans of both bands, as this is a rare live performance! DISC 1 : (JEFF BECK) 01. Savoy/02.
