The great guitar instrumental album “WIRED”. A new release has been decided that accurately reproduces the original sound. Until now, we have delivered a group of masterpieces that have been digitized from the analog records of great masterpieces in pursuit of the ultimate sound. PINK FLOYD, LED ZEPPELIN, DEEP PURPLE, RAINBOW, and recently the early works of BLACK SABBATH have also become popular. This work is the “WIRED” edition. It is a digitization of the original first press LP “EPC 86012” in the UK. Of course, it is different from a simple record transcription. The master was produced by an overseas audiophile, and the analog record used is the finest mint condition record among the first press LPs. It is played in a high-est environment, but it is also a collection of equipment specialized in analog transcription, and the sound of the first initial playback is recorded. It is a very detailed work, but the sound of this work is beautiful as if to prove the process. Usually, needle cracks are a part of analog transcription, and they are usually removed by mastering after digitization. However, this work has not been processed at all after digitization, and not a single needle crack can be found, and there is no uneven rotation of the player. The glossy and beautiful playback sound runs through the entire work. It is an incredibly wonderful finish, but that is only due to the precision of the work. The important thing is the sound of the first press LP that was revived to such an extent. This is already incredibly wonderful. When you think of the CD of “WIRED”, there is a sense of mass where each instrument clashes, and even after remastering, only the peaks are emphasized and jump out. In particular, the attack of the snare drum is emphasized, and the image of the spikes of the mass jumping out was given. In contrast, this work remains extremely natural, and each instrument is vividly separated. Moreover, instead of simply being heard separately, each note draws a beautiful peak from the onset to the silence, and there is no sense of incongruity that only the peaks jump out. Each note has a sense of reality, and you can feel the presence of the vibrating strings and drum heads behind the sound. This feeling is a privilege of analog transcription, but what is even more surprising is the vividness. Usually, analog transcription tends to have a beautiful sound but rounded and mild edges. However, the original British LP of “WIRED” has very sharp contours and edges. Currently, the highest peak of “WIRED” is the SACD version released in 2016, but the clarity of this work is not inferior to the latest version… or rather, depending on the song, this work is even more vivid. Of course, this work is not a separate mix of the SACD quadraphonic, but the original 2ch stereo mix. This work is not only more natural than the remastered CD, but also has a sound that makes you wonder how clear and vivid the original British LP was. “WIRED” is a great masterpiece that symbolizes the instrument itself, the guitar, rather than being a masterpiece of Jeff Beck. This is a piece that revives the original sound with the utmost passion of overseas audio enthusiasts. This is the “real sound” that could only be heard in the UK at that time… no, the “real sound” brought out by a high-end environment that was impossible at the time.
