From the 1976 North American tour with the Young Hammer Group, Kansas City on July 23rd was a complete recording of the Arrowhead Stadium performance for about 58 minutes, with the highest level of ultra-high quality audience recording. This performance has the previously released version “Play With Me” and its upper version “More Play With Me”, but although this version has the same master, it is recorded with the highest sound quality that completely surpasses the previously released version. The 1976 tour sound sources include Detroit and Boston, and there are high-quality records comparable to soundboards, but this record is on par with those famous sound sources, and is on the same level as modern DAT recordings or even better. This is the sound. The closeness of the sound, the good separation, the graininess, the clearness, the punch, and everything else is at the highest level. This is definitely the highest level microphone recording by an audience in the 70’s. The first minute cut of Oh Yeah’s 3:12 Diamond Dust, which was also heard in the previous release, has been carefully corrected and pitch adjusted to make it easier to listen to, making it definitely the best version. As mentioned above, the musical tones were strangely close to each other, so did they record it by standing in front of the PA and setting up a microphone? It’s a sound that makes you wonder. It’s a pity that the stage time is short at one hour because it was a live performance on the opening act of Fleetwood Mac, but if you are a fan, the definitive upgrade version of the 1976 Kansas City performance that finally appeared is definitely a must.
