Description
On July 23, 1972, the stage of three bands who appeared at the Roundhouse as the opening act for JEFF BECK GROUP was recorded in ultra-high quality. It was recorded by a Japanese record company staff, and it is a very valuable take that is not available anywhere else. (You can hear whispered Japanese conversations throughout the songs.) Later, the famous British glam rock band Steve Harley’s Cockney Rebel (this was the band’s first debut gig!), Thirsty Two (Helplessly Hoping also plays), who play great performances based on country and folk rock, and HOME, which features Cliff Williams, now of AC/DC, who made their major debut on CBS, each give a great performance. This is a valuable document of a group of British rock bands, recorded in astonishingly excellent sound quality that makes you think that such excellent recordings were possible only because they used the most expensive and cutting-edge recording equipment at the time. Very high quality and extremely rare content and recording Although I think that Jeff Beck fans will not be very interested in these bands, this is a valuable recording that British rock researchers should definitely get their hands on. The sound quality and content are superb, making this a rare and must-listen take. A miraculous recording with a running time of 78 minutes! Live at Roundhouse, London, UK 23rd July 1972 PERFECT SOUND (from Original Masters) Cockney Rebel (Track 1-3) Thirsty Two (Track 4-13) Home (Track 14-17)
