Description

Jeff Beck appeared at the “CROSSROADS GUITAR FESTIVAL” hosted by Eric Clapton, and his collaboration with Johnny Depp became a hot topic. The masterpiece matrix album is now available. This work includes “September 28, 2019: Dallas Performance”. This is a live album that matrixes the ALD sound board and the best audience recording. Speaking of Jeff in 2019, his historic collaboration with Rod Stewart became a hot topic (you can also enjoy that performance on our store’s “HOLLYWOOD BOWL 2019”), but his appearance at “CROSSROADS GUITAR FESTIVAL” was a little earlier than that. First of all, let’s check the show’s position from this year’s activity schedule.・September 17th: Kansas City performance ・September 18th: Tulsa performance ・September 20th: CROSSROADS GUITAR FESTIVAL performance ←★This work★ ・September 21st: Austin performance ・September 22nd: San Antonio performance ・September 24th: Phoenix performance September 27th: Los Angeles performance (with Rod Stewart) This is Jeff in 2019. Last year, a new system tour was held that also introduced cello, but this year, while maintaining that system, the show itself will be limited. The final Los Angeles performance is a style where guests participate in Rod’s solo performance, and Jeff’s own show is a total of 6 performances. In all of them, he was able to co-star with Johnny Depp, and this work’s “CROSSROADS GUITAR FESTIVAL” was also an act. This work, which recorded such a special show, is also special in quality. It is a matrix of ALD sound source and audience recording. “ALD (Assisted Listening Devices)” refers to earphone sound sources installed in seats for the hearing impaired. The sound board audio is streamed, and the sound board audio can be recorded on line without using any space. However, ALD is a little different from a normal soundboard. The output is basically monaural due to the earphone output, and since it is intended to be listened to while watching the show on-site, the sound tends to be a little dry. As it is, it is not very suitable for home audio playback. This work is a live album in which overseas enthusiasts matrixed the best audience recordings in order to complement ALD’s weak points. The audience recording is also not free. The famous “Schoeps mk4” is used, and the stereo sound is vivid and the sound is excellent. It is a perfect recording to complement the dry ALD sound source. In fact, the quality of this work is superb. In terms of overall balance, the center of gravity is placed on audience recording, and it doesn’t feel like “it’s a sound board!”, but the thick core pierces that atmosphere, and the vivid details stand out beautifully. Moreover, the audience noise is minimal and the applause is far away, yet wide. It is a sound that adds the vibrancy of a soundboard to the beautiful world unique to guest records. Moreover, this work further refines the much-talked-about Matrix Master with meticulous mastering. Maximizes the characteristics of ALD while preserving the natural feel. Furthermore, we have also improved the overall balance. In fact, the matrix of the original sound was sweet in some places, and when the ensemble became complex, the core and ringing were not synchronized properly (for most parts, this is not a problem). Of course, such sweetness cannot be changed by mastering, but this work has been finished so that it can be listened to as naturally as possible without any discomfort. The show drawn with that sound is full of unexpected and valuable numbers. Suddenly, they were surprised by “Space for the Papa” by “WHO ELSE!”, which was back for the first time in 20 years, and from there on, there was a rush of covers. It combines the Beach Boys’ “Caroline, No,” Billy Cobham’s “Stratus,” Link Wray’s “Rumble,” and John Lennon’s “Isolation.” The much-talked-about Johnny Depp appears from the fourth song, “Rumble.” At first he played the side guitar, but on “Isolation” he also took on the lead vocals. They will also perform on Depp’s new songs “Heddy Lamar” and “Brush With the Blues,” a total of four songs. The gorgeous co-starring alone is enough to make you dizzy, but looking at the data, the four songs “Caroline, No,” “Rumble,” “Isolation,” and “Heddy Lamar” are extremely rare songs only available in 2019. Although this work is a short set of about 40 minutes just for the festival, the content is on par with Tokuno. You can experience a number of must-listen performances with the best sound. Jeff Beck plans to end 2019 with a mini-tour with Johnny Depp. Due to its short length, there was not a record that I was satisfied with, but this work is a live album of the highest level that has finally appeared. A masterpiece of 2019 where you can enjoy a special show with a special matrix sound. American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas, USA 20th September 2019 TRULY PERFECT SOUND(MATRIX:ALD+AUD ) (39:53) 1.
