Description

JAPAN decided to break up after releasing their 1981 album “TIN DRUM”. This live performance at Leiden City Hall in the Netherlands on July 10th was recorded on a soundboard from the local FM on-air master during their farewell tour in Europe in 1982. Although it is a broadcast recording and is not complete, it is reproduced in almost the same flow as their subsequent Japan tours, and a major point is that the set list is dominated by songs from JAPAN’s later period after moving to the Virgin label, except for “Quiet Life”. Although it is a highly polished live performance, each member had already started their own activities, and the cool performance, coupled with the way the band was lost at the end, makes it feel like the end. Although there is also a live album “OIL ON CANVAS”, which was the band’s final work, this is a great item for fans who want to hear as much as possible of the band’s last tour. 01.
