Jan Akkerman/Sweden 1981

This is a live performance in Stockholm, Sweden on March 24th, recorded from the soundboard source of the broadcast master, from the European tour of 1981 as a solo activity after leaving Focus. The previous year, he released his second solo album “Transparental” under the name of a duo, and on that album, he showed off a variety of delicate playing styles that were completely different from when he was in Focus, and his use of tone and beats with a good delay was reminiscent of John Scofield, but here he has a stronger fusion feel and incorporates disco beats, which is a sense of the trends of the time.
