Description

THE JAM in 1980, which was running through the era, sending out one masterpiece after another that will remain in history. Introducing the best professional shots that allow you to enjoy the fierce stage. This work contains three types of multi-camera professional shots. The TV program “FOLLIES” featuring the “Newcastle performance on October 27th/28th, 1980” as the main focus, and the “Borgerhout performance on December 3rd of the same year”, and the bonus TV program “APLAUSO”. Speaking of 1980, the soundboard album “PINKPOP 1980” is also a standard in our shop, but the period is slightly different from this work. In order to explain the meaning, let’s first take a bird’s-eye view of the activities at that time. 1980 February 11-15: UK (4 shows) February 27-March 25: North America #1 (13 shows) April 7-June 21: Europe #1 (11 shows) ←※PINKPOP 1980 July 4-8: Japan #1 (3 shows) July 2-August 9: Europe #2 (4 shows) October 18: Bromley show《October 22: Sound Affects completed》 October 26-December 12: Europe #3 (37 shows) ←★Here★ 1981 February 21st – March 16th / April 27th: Europe #4 (17 shows) May 14th + 16th: Japan #2 (2 shows) May 21st – 29th: North America #2 (5 shows) June 10th – July 8th: Europe #5 (14 shows) October 5th + 23rd / December 12th – 19th: Europe #6 (7 shows) This is THE JAM in 1980 / 1981. While “PINKPOP 1980” was the “SETTING SONS Tour”, this work is “SOUND AFFECTS Tour”. The Newcastle performance, which is the main focus of this work, was the 2/3 performance of “Europe #3” immediately after the album release, and the Borgelhout performance of “FOLLIES” was the 31st performance. Now, let’s introduce the three videos individually. First half: Newcastle performance (8 songs) The first to appear is a multi-camera pro shot of the Newcastle performance, which is also the title of this work. Speaking of “Newcastle 1980”, there was also the official excavation board “LIVE AT NEWCASTLE CITY HALL 28TH OCTOBER 1980”, but that is a live album only on “October 28th” as the title suggests. This work is a video version edited from two days. This video is also familiar because it was made official in “1977-1982 THE COMPLETE JAM ON FILM”, but this work is a remastered version released by overseas enthusiasts in recent years. The video and audio are wonderful, renewing the highest peak ever, and “Scrape It is also the longest version of the 8-song specification in which “Away” also appears seamlessly. Since it has actually been made official, it can only be called “official transcendental class” rather than “official class”. Performance songs: All Mod Cons: To Be Someone (Didn’t We Have A Nice Time) / “A” Bomb On Wardour Street / David Watts, Sound Affects: Pretty Green / Boy About Town / Scrape Away, Others: The Eton Rifles / Going Underground Second half: TV program “FOLLIES” (10 songs) Next up is a multi-camera pro shot of the Borgelhout performance broadcast on the Belgian National Broadcasting Institute (RTBF) TV program “FOLLIES”. This is the broadcast version with the program title scene and logo, but the quality can only be called “completely official class”. There is not a single scratch on the image quality or sound quality, and no traces of deterioration due to analog are found. It is an ultra-excellent visual beauty that the quality itself tells us that it is the master itself. Also, there are more songs than the Newcastle video above, but the appeal is that there are fewer overlaps. Only three songs overlap in both programs: “David Watts”, “Boy About Town”, and “Going Underground”. By combining both videos, this work allows you to enjoy a wide variety of masterpieces. All Mod Cons: David Watts/Down In The Tube Station At Midnight/Setting Sons: Private Hell/Little Boy SoldiersSound Affects: Boy About Town/Dream Time/Set The House Ablaze/Start!Single: Going Underground/When You’re YoungBonus: TV program “APLAUSO” (2 songs)The last one is “The Eton Rifles” and “Going Underground” from the appearance on the music program “APLAUSO” of the Spanish Broadcasting Corporation (RTVE). Unlike the above two videos, there are only two songs, and the performance is mime. Although it is just a bonus video, the quality is still completely official. You can enjoy a performance in a station studio that is different from the real live performance. The treasure video of 20 songs and 65 minutes 30 seconds is as above. It is a video masterpiece that you can enjoy the “SOUND AFFECTS” era to the fullest with the superb quality that can be said to be official grade … no, even more than the official. It is an absolute video that boasts the same value as the studio masterpieces. A compilation of three professional shots. This is a single disc that mainly includes “Newcastle performance on October 27th / 28th, 1980 (8 songs)” and additionally includes the TV program “FOLLIES (10 songs)” and the mime program “APLAUSO (2 songs)” from the “Borgerhout performance on December 3rd”. Both are of superb quality, and especially the main Newcastle performance is a remastered version of the highest peak update released by overseas enthusiasts in recent years. It is an absolute video that can be used as an official substitute to enjoy the “SOUND AFFECTS” era to the fullest.
