Description

The shocking 2CD “TOKYO 1981 AFTERNOON SHOW”, which was recorded by Kinney but had not been released until now. As mentioned in the main commentary, this “May 24th Nakano Sunplaza” had two performances a day, an “evening part” and a “night part.” The “night session” was broadcast on FM by a certain public broadcasting station and has produced countless air check boards. This work is one of them, and is a reprint from the best version of Kinney’s LP “IRON MAIDEN”. In other words, this work is Kinney’s version of “Night Part.” Of course, this broadcast has a big decision board “LIVE KILLERS”, but the quality of this work does not reach that, and the recording is a shortened version of one analog disc. However, the vintage sound is truly warm and nostalgic. This sound is the very atmosphere of that era. A monochrome cover that copies the jacket of “MAIDEN JAPAN”, which has the same name and title as the band’s debut album. When I picked it up and turned it over, I found a track that was completely different from the one written in bright red, “MAIDEN JAPAN” (Remember Tomorrow was the only one that was duplicated). It was the atmosphere of those days when you thought, “This song will be performed live,” but were still holding your breath at the price tag. I bought it with the intention of jumping off the stage in Shimizu, carefully placed it on the turntable, and the sound that came out… It’s been over 30 years since those days. In the meantime, a full broadcast CD with extremely high sound quality has appeared, and even an unreleased tape of Kinney recording has been unearthed. Although it really feels like a different era, what these high-quality records are trying to convey is the “atmosphere of the times” and “the best music” from more than 30 years ago. Because the 2CD is a feat of the latest excavation in 2015, I would like you to go back and touch the heart of that time. I want you to remember that burning feeling. This is a reprint of a vintage LP that embodies that feeling. If you still have the analogs of “Hagane no Maiden”, “KILLERS”, and “MAIDEN JAPAN”, please listen to them while looking at the large jacket. A magical piece that will turn the clock back 34 years. Please enjoy the “smell of 1981”. Live at Nakano Sunplaza, Tokyo, Japan 24th May 1981 Evening Show STEREO SBD Taken from the original LP “Iron Maiden” (PMDU-1005) (50:37) 1. Wrathchild 2.
