Description

From the second Japan tour accompanying “The Number Of The Beast” in 1982, which was the first performance in Japan after Bruce Dickinson joined, the Nakano Sun Plaza performance on November 27th, which is the beginning of the tour, and the two consecutive performances at Shibuya Public Hall on December 2nd and 4th, which are the final performances, are recorded in high quality audience recording. This is a complete recording of the three shocking performances, directly using the master cassette of the recorder of Purple’s 1985 Budokan performance, which was released last week and stunned fans with its unconventional sound. All of the sound quality is high quality, but strictly speaking, the final day > 11/27 > 12/2. The final day performance on December 4th was recorded with perfect ultra-high sound quality, and is sure to blow the listener’s mind, and will surely be the representative take of the year for Maiden fans. It may have been necessary to separate only this final day and release it on a press CD, but it is recorded with such a high-grade sound that it is confusing how to handle this amazing sound collection. The overwhelming singing of young Bruce, the superb band ensemble with a sense of speed, and the hot reaction of the audience make this board even more attractive. The screams between songs, and the enthusiasm and chorus of the young audience that can be heard in each song are enough to make fans cry and listen. On the final day, the cheers and clapping of the audience are loud, but the musical sounds are recorded even louder than that, so you can enjoy this spectacular live performance with the best sound balance overall. This is a special recording title that will probably be the talk of Maiden collectors around the world. You can enjoy the miraculous moments and moments that are so great that it is no exaggeration to say that all of this is a listening point. Everyone will be grateful to the taper for recording this performance with this sound! Of course, the sound quality of the second day’s performance in Tokyo on November 27th was recorded with the same taper, so it can’t be bad, and it was recorded with a high sound quality far above the average level. Although the performance on December 2nd, the first day of Shibuya Public Hall, was difficult to hear in some parts of the encore depending on the limiter, this can also be said to be of sufficient high sound quality overall if considered as a normal audience recording. Particularly interesting in terms of performance is the rhythm play by the combination of Steve Harris and Clive Barr, which has a completely different texture, sense of time, and drum playing style from Nick McBrain since 1983, so you can listen to it very freshly. The drum solo of over 7 minutes following 22 Acacia Avenue will also make you listen with a certain emotion. The main set’s closing The Phantom Of The Opera and Iron Maiden are also great, but the band’s passionate performance in response to four encores and the enthusiasm of the audience are also wonderful, making it the best document of hard rock bootlegs ever. (On the final day, Bruce said “Thank you for the bananas” during the encore.) The first encore was Running Free, the second E was Sanctuary-Drifter, the third E was Prowler (it was amazing how the audience sang along to the lyrics), and the fourth encore was Montrose’s cover I Got The Fire. On the final day, before Prowler, Bruce sang a solo of “White Christmas” and a full cover of Smoke On The Water (a rough performance, but a very fun take), and they responded to five encores. You can enjoy a lively show with very realistic high-quality sound that you would never imagine in a modern live show where everything is calculated.
