Description

This work contains 6 types of multi-camera professional shots from 1995 to 1998, 31 songs (plus interviews). “MAXIMUM BLAZE” compiled four full-length professional shots, but this work is a comprehensive look at professional shots that are not full shows. Now, let’s take a closer look at each video. [Disc 1: Sofia performance on October 16, 1995] First up is the 1995 Sofia performance (Bulgaria). “THE X FACTOUR” began in September 1995, and this Sofia performance was the ninth performance. The ninth performance of this tour means that Blaze himself is also the very early ninth performance at MAIDEN. The quality of depicting that fresh performance is also great. In fact, most of the professional shots from the Blaze era are from South America, but this is Bulgaria. Even though it is a former communist country, it is Europe, and its broadcast quality cannot be compared to South America. In fact, this footage is outstanding even in the Blades era, and may even surpass the Chilean performance, which is said to be the “number one footage of the Blades era.” Although there are some drawbacks, such as camera work centered on distant views, black noise (?) in the highlights, and only eight songs, the basic image quality itself is beautiful, and it is a professional shot that does not mind minor defects. The contents are also a must-see, and “The Edge Of Darkness” is especially valuable. It is a song only in the early stages of the tour, and is “one song only here” that cannot be seen in “MAXIMUM BLAZE”. [Disc 1: Bucharest performance on October 17, 1995] Next are six songs from the Bucharest performance (Romania), the day after the Sofia performance. This is a professional shot containing a local TV broadcast. The biggest point of this video is its rarity. Although its existence was known among core collectors, only audio was available. Professional shot footage was almost unknown until recent years. That’s why the quality is rare… but that’s because the other footage is wonderful. There is no difficulty in viewing the backstage video (at all!), and the camerawork is perfect from the Sofia performance to the close-up of the facial expression to the scale of the venue. You can enjoy the precious 10th performance of Blaze. [Disc 1: 1995 “MTV’S MOST WANTED”] The third video that decorates the end of Disc 1 is also rare. However, this is a wonderful official professional shot that is not suitable for its rarity. That’s because it was produced by the world-famous MTV, and it is hardly known because it is only two songs long. However, this is the only studio live video from the Blaze era, and it is a masterpiece video that allows you to witness “Blaze MAIDEN” in a different scene from the stage in the best quality. [Disc 2: Sao Paulo performance on August 24, 1996] Disc 2 instead is a South American professional shot at the end of “THE X FACTOUR”. The Santiago and Buenos Aires performances recorded in “MAXIMUM BLAZE” are famous, but this is also called the “South America 96 Trilogy” that follows. Five songs “Man On The Edge”, “Wrathchild”, “Lord Of The Flies”, “Afraid To Shoot Strangers” and “Sanctuary” were not included in “MAXIMUM BLAZE” due to the broadcast editing that was cut, but it still has a large volume of 13 songs and the quality is not inferior at all. In particular, the sound of the stereo sound board is superb, and it is one of the best professional shots of the Blaze era. [Disc 2: Madrid performance on May 19, 1998] From here, “VIRTUAL XI WORLD TOUR”. This is “Iron Maiden” from the Madrid performance that gave birth to the sound board album “DEFINITIVE BLAZE (Zodiac 197)”. Although it is only one song, this video is a treasure. The quality of the official grade is also great, but what’s most amazing is the huge “VIRTUAL XI” edition. It’s a huge Eddie that seems to embrace the whole stage, but it was thought that the only professional shot left was the Curitiba performance (included in “MAXIMUM BLAZE”). However, the newly discovered footage of the Madrid performance also shows the huge Eddie perfectly and superbly. Moreover, although the Curitiba performance failed due to Eddie’s appearance, this one was a great success. In other words, it is the only professional shot of the “correct VIRTUAL edition”. Eddie and Steve Harris’s dignified close-up, which fills the monitor… how cool! This is one of the greatest masterpieces in the entire history of MAIDEN, which is rarely seen even officially. In fact, this video is part of a coupling program of HELLOWEEN and IRON MAIDEN that was broadcast locally. HELLOWEEN is shown for a long time in the first half, and the MAIDEN part in the second half is mainly an interview. Only one song, “Iron Maiden” live, was broadcast at the end of the program. Therefore, even among collectors, it was not noticed that there was a full song, and the maniacs who saw it did not know that this was valuable. Even though it was only one song, it is a treasure pro shot with “super”. [Disc 2: Shibuya Public Hall performance on November 18, 1998] The last one is our Japan. It is “The Angel And The Gambler” at Shibuya Public Hall. This is also not attracting much attention because it is only one song, but it is a beautiful professional shot of the official class that sets it apart from South American ones. After leaving IRON MAIDEN, Blaze has never visited Japan, and this may be his last brave figure in Japan… This is the culmination of six types, 31 songs, and 2 hours, 54 minutes, and 10 seconds of multi-camera professional shots. In fact, there are other professional shots that flow for about 1-2 minutes behind the interview or in between, but this is the complete set where you can watch more than one full song. You can enjoy the awesomeness of the full show with “MAXIMUM BLAZE”, and the collection is also perfect with this work.
