Description

A treasured recording of a high-quality stereo audience recording of a London performance from the 1987 European tour has arrived! A treasured recording of a live performance at Hammersmith Odeon in London from the European tour held after the release of the eighth album “Blah Blah Blah” has arrived! It has been digitized from the low-generation cassette master, and the sound quality is clear and can be said to be of a high-class class at that time, with a wide range and impeccable balance for not only the vocals but also each part. In addition, the pitch and positioning deviation caused by the master have been carefully corrected. This is the recording from the first day of two consecutive gigs held at Hammersmith Odeon. Continuing from the Japan tour in April of the same year, the lineup was Kevin Armstrong on guitar, Seamus Begen on keyboards and guitar, Andy Anderson on drums, and the bassist was changed to Barry Adamson, who had just left Hill Butcher for Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Unlike the hard rock-oriented sound of the following year’s tour, this time the sound made use of Seamus Begen’s keyboards, and in addition to songs from their then new album “Blah Blah Blah,” the set opened with a barrage of Stooges numbers and ended with a powerful performance!
