This release couples a studio live recording from November 5th in Bremen, Germany, of Hancock’s Headhunters’ 1974 Euro tour, with the best quality audio and video. The soundboard audio and pro-shot video, both sourced from the TV broadcast master, have been digitally remastered in 2026. The audio output has been improved, and the video has been digitally corrected, resulting in what is arguably the best quality recording currently available, spanning 1 hour and 6 minutes. The band members are almost entirely the original Headhunters lineup, with the exception of Mike Clark on drums (from the second lineup). Paul Jackson’s funky bass, Mike Clark’s complex drumming, and Benny Maupin’s sharp saxophone create an absolutely phenomenal, soulful groove while maintaining the band’s cohesion. And the show concludes with the 15-minute-long “CHAMELEON,” an overwhelming performance captured in its best quality here.
