Description

The long-awaited title from the “Wolfgang’s Vault” sound source series, which is a hot topic among rock enthusiasts, has been released once again! This time, HEART, an indispensable part of American rock in the late 1980s, appears. Enjoy two performances of the November 1990 live performance recorded for the official live work “ROCK THE HOUSE LIVE!” with the full uncut recording and the finest official quality sound. The first is “ROCK THE HOUSE LIVE! Erie 1990” which includes the performance in Erie, Pennsylvania on November 25th. Another “ROCK THE HOUSE LIVE!” that was not officially adopted in the end will be revealed here! HEART’s decade in the ’80s was so eventful that it could be called a microcosm of the American rock scene at the time. The slump of the early 1980s, the 1985 comeback work “HEART” that broke the slump, and 1987’s “BAD ANIMALS” that took the world by storm with its brilliant and gorgeous sound… HEART is musically speaking. Visually, it’s definitely the American rock of the ’80s. However, HEART was originally a band that was influenced by LED ZEPPELIN and based on country. The direction they took at the time, which involved bringing in outside songwriters to increase sales, had become so far removed from their original musical style that even sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson recalled that it was “too much.” I did. They put an end to that direction with the “BRIGADE” released in 1990. After the tour ended, HEART temporarily suspended its activities and returned to its roots. The live work released during the suspension of activities is “ROCK THE HOUSE LIVE!”. This work, which is the band’s first (surprisingly) a comprehensive live album, can be said to be the summation of the ’80s, and it is positioned accordingly. In this work, from the 4 performances recorded for “ROCK THE HOUSE LIVE!” in the latter half of November 1990, the performance in Erie, Pennsylvania on November 25th is recorded in stereo newly discovered in “Wolfgang’s Vault”. Completely recorded on the sound board! The sound was of course official quality, but this work was carefully remastered for the recording version. By correcting the partial sound deterioration and adding sharpness to the flat original sound source, we have sublimated the sound to the point where it can be officially released as is. Of the currently known four-day material, only November 28th was officially adopted. Furthermore, the complete live recording version with unused sources will only be available on November 25th. This original sound source allows you to enjoy another unknown “ROCK THE HOUSE LIVE!” in its complete form! It goes without saying that the brightness and clearness of the sound from “Fallen From Grace”, which decorates the beginning of the live performance, is of official quality. The freshness of the sound is exquisite, such as Ann’s powerful vocals and the sparkling tone of Nancy’s acoustic guitar. Furthermore, the dynamism created by the powerful bass allows you to fully enjoy the uniqueness of HEART as a rock band! The profound songwriting and Anne’s singing of “Call Of The Wild” that follows “Fallen From Grace” will make you feel the influence that LED ZEPPELIN had on HEART. Furthermore, the 80’s representative songs “How Can I Refuse” and “Shell Shock” have a wonderful combination of punchy hard edges and catchy melodies! While the first half of the live was very ’80s-like, the middle songs “Love Alive” and “Under The Sky” showcased the band’s original trad/folk-oriented sound. In particular, the former, selected from his masterpiece “LITTLE QUEEN” in 1977, is the scene where HEART reveals its essence. “If Looks Could Kill” on Disc 2 is a big highlight during the live performance. This song, which dramatically opened the album “HEART”, was an absolute must at HEART live performances during the gorgeous era! In addition, after the performance of the same song, Anne’s MC saying, “We’re recording for a live album,” and the scene where the venue gets excited is also clearly recorded. This is also the point of the original sound source. In the second half of the live performance, Nancy sang lyrically on “These Dreams,” followed by the catchy “Never,” and the famous songs “Alone” and “What About Love,” all of which were representative of the 1980s. I’m so happy to be able to listen to these songs that were not included in the official live album! At the end, Howard Reese’s guitar solo “The Way Back Machine” leads to the aggressive “Barracuda”, bringing the 114-minute live performance to a close with excitement! “ROCK THE HOUSE LIVE! Erie 1990”, which will be released at the same time, contains the truth of the officially adopted November 28th performance, whereas this work, which contains the November 25th Erie performance, , another “ROCK THE HOUSE LIVE!” that never saw the light of day, will be brought to light in its complete and exquisite form. On the gorgeous route, HEART was the last ray of light. In this work, you can enjoy such a 1990 live with its former glory!
