Description

The Japan tour in October accompanying the release of 1988’s “OOH YEAH!” after a three-year hiatus had 9 performances across the country, but this work was held on the 13th, the first performance in Shizuoka. This is a must-listen and must-have disc for fans, which is a complete 2-hour recording of the live performance at the newly completed Tokyo Dome on October 14th, the second day of the tour, in perfect official stereo soundboard recording. is. A perfect soundboard master who is said to have leaked from Technician RS, who also has a close working relationship with Daryl Hall. This performance was partially broadcast on TV at the time, but the main version is of course a completely different master, and you can listen to the entire concert in clear sound, including a number of unreleased numbers. Basically, the musical sounds are recorded using monaural line recording, but the audience’s cheers and the reverberations of the musical sounds seem to be mixed left and right in the final mix. (Analog noise that appeared on the master was carefully removed as much as possible so as not to affect the original sound.) The live performance was performed in two parts, the first part was on disk 1, the second part and encore. It is recorded on disc 2. Opening with the new song “OOH YEAH!”, they played Downtown Life and Everything Your Heart Desires, and after that, they played Keep On Pushin’ Love, Talking All Night, Rockability, Missed Opportunity, and Reallove from the new album, skillfully interweaving past hits. However, it is unique in that it performs seven songs evenly from the beginning to the encore. In the first half, Paul Young played Everytime You Go Away, a cover hit, acoustically and very movingly. Since their last visit to Japan, Hall & Oates has changed all members except bassist T-Bone, but each member’s outstanding playing ability was spectacular, and they performed in various places. You can enjoy wonderful ensemble play. In the latter half of the second part, the excitement of the series of representative songs from Sara Smile is amazing. The encore is the Beatles cover I Saw Her Standing There, which excites the huge crowd at Tokyo Dome. The best document of a spectacular live show held exactly 25 years ago. A must-listen and must-have for fans of 80’s Western music. Disc 1(61:07) 1. Downtown Life 2. Everything Your Heart Desires 3. Rich Girl 4. Kiss On My List 5. Possession Obsession 6.
