Description

This release features a full 1 hour and 23 minute recording of the September 30th show at Nakano Sun Plaza in Tokyo, the second day of their Japan tour that autumn, which came just six months after their legendary first visit following the release of 1980’s “X-STATIC.” The recording was made from a remarkably good audience master recently released by a taper. Following their first visit in February of that year, “VOICES” was released in July and became a worldwide hit, prompting their second visit. Incidentally, while their Shibuya performance from that tour was broadcast on FM, this release naturally includes three songs that were not aired on the radio, which is a major highlight. The live performance, featuring representative songs from the 70s up to the album “VOICES,” including “Kiss On My List” and “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin'”—songs that would later become staples—is a precious record of a live performance in Japan just before their record-breaking breakthrough with “Private Eyes” a year later. It’s a must-listen memorial item for fans who remember that time. Live at Nakano Sunplaza, Tokyo, Japan 30th September 1980 : from Original Masters Disc 1 : 1. Intro 2. How Does It Feel to Be Back 3.
