Description
This work includes an audience recording of the “October 2, 1987 Amsterdam performance (Netherlands)”. This is the full tour, but let’s zoom in on “Europe” and the following “UK # 2”. ● Europe ・ September 29, 1987: Hamburg ・ September 30, 1987: Dusseldorf Another CD ・ October 2, 1987: Amsterdam [This work] ● UK # 2 ・ October 4, 1987: Newcastle ・ October 5, 1987: Nottingham “NOTTINGHAM 1987” ・ October 6, 1987: Manchester ・ October 7, 1987: Bristol ・ October 8, 1987: London “UTTER DESTRUCTION” In this way, they performed two shows in Germany and one show in the Netherlands. After that, they proceeded to the UK. In addition to the German performance, we have introduced the masterpieces of the British performance, “NOTTINGHAM 1987 (ZODIAC 187)” and “UTTER DESTRUCTION”. This work is a one-off performance in the Netherlands. This work is a truly wonderful audience sound. The clarity and thickness of the musical tones are wonderful, and the directness without a sense of distance is comparable to a line recording. It is not disturbed by annoying audience noise. The vocals are too direct and are a super clear recording at the ear level. The precious European show depicted with that clear sound is still wonderful. Just like the German performance of the main press CD, you can see the tension and solidity of visiting the “first country”, but perhaps the experience in Germany has given him confidence, and he will give you an even stronger performance. On the other hand, that “familiarity” also creates a scene that makes you feel a little nervous (?). Just like in Dusseldorf, they bring the audience up on stage to sing “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door,” but the audience ends up shouting “Fuck, fuck, fuckin’ Guns N’ Roses!!” instead of “Knock, knock, Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door.” Well, now any fan can sing this song, but at the time it was a cover that hadn’t even been recorded. In West Germany, the audience was mumbling the lyrics because they didn’t understand them, but the Dutch had high English skills, so they were confident even with their half-hearted hearing, or maybe they were just excited by the suddenness of it… Anyway, it’s a momentary nervous scene, although Axel doesn’t lose his cool and stop playing. The best performance, the politeness, and the nervous scenes are all unique to European performances, which are different from those in the United States and the UK. This work is also a masterpiece live album that gives you a taste of the precious “1987 Europe.” Live at Paradiso, Amsterdam, Holland 2nd October 1987 TRULY AMAZING SOUND (53:01) 1. Intro. 2.
