Description
After the Rumour era, the band went on a US tour to promote the release of “Real McCaw” in 1983. This recording of the Chicago performance on September 29th was taken from the soundboard recordings from the radio on-air master at the time. Although they parted ways with the Rumour after “Up Escalator,” they reunited with guitarist Brinsley Schwartz in 1983 and joined the tour. Here too, they performed a great performance, including numbers from the Rumour era in the 1970s, supported by his outstanding playing. In the early days of their debut, they were compared to Elvis Costello and Joe Jackson and labeled as “angry young men,” but this live performance, which symbolizes the 1980s when they found a new direction, is a must-listen for fans of the past.
