Description
A high-quality recording based on the master cassette tape that recorded the live sound source that was aired on the Canadian FM program “Jazz on the Move” in 1986 at the St. Denis Theater in Montreal. A high-quality live CD is now available. In addition to regular members such as Chris Hunter on alto saxophone and Lou Soloff on trumpet, tenor Bill Evans, who was active in the Miles Band, and Mark Egan, who is well known for his work in the Metheny Band, also joined the band in 1988. It is comprised of a gorgeous jazz orchestra that includes Danny Gottlieb, who is best known for being a member of the Gil Evans Orchestra until his death in 2007. After all, the thing I listen to is Lou Soloff, and the skills honed since his time with the legendary band “Blood Sweat & Tears” are exploding here in Montreal. The recording time is just under an hour, and the sound quality is very good, so this is a must-have item for fans, as it is the first sound source.
