Description

From the long-term Euro tour accompanying the release of “Nursery Cryme” that lasted for 1 year and 9 months from the beginning of 1971, the performance at Watford Town Hall on June 28th of the final UK tour of 1972 was recorded in the best quality ever from the original audience master owned by Taper, which has been uploaded to the Internet in recent years. Until now, the balance between the left and right channels was poor, and the sound was muffled and diffused due to excessive equalization, but with this title, the clarity and balance unique to the low generation are good, which can be said to be miraculous for an audience recording at that time. And the performance set is unique to this period, and the opening starts suddenly with “Watcher of the Skies” from the pre-release “Foxtrot”. The singing and chorus parts have not yet been established, and it is refreshing that the melody line of the singing is different from the original. And in the middle, Phil’s superb drum solo is also included, and the following songs “Happy the Man” and “Twilight Alehouse” were rare live takes that were not included on the album before the box set was released, so be sure to check them out as they are also valuable early versions. And at the end, the album ends with a humorous marching drum improvisation and “The Knife”, a must-listen item for fans who want to enjoy the precious performances of that time, including MCs, for a total of 77 minutes. 01.
