This newly discovered stereo soundboard recording captures the August 18th performance in Detroit and Clarkston, part of the North American tour accompanying the release of 1982’s “Three Sides Live.” This recording, first recorded directly from the master mix, also leaked from the source by a key source, offers a truly authentic, unprocessed sound, clearly recreating even the subtle nuances of the band’s ensemble. Furthermore, the unreleased encore and intersong segments are complemented by premium audience recordings, providing a complete 2-hour, 7-minute rendition of the performance. The content follows the official live album, offering a balanced selection of key tracks from the Gabriel era through to “Abacab.” While “Supper’s Ready” was only performed in part after the band’s formation, it is now performed in its entirety, clocking in at 24 minutes. Incidentally, this was the only tour where this song was performed in its entirety since Hackett’s departure, making it a must-see for avid fans.
