Description

“Dazzling Broadway” is a monumental concept album. Although it is a huge story that even rivals “Quadruple Personality” and “The Wall,” it is a fantastic story that will never be reproduced on stage again. A live album that allows you to witness the scene with the best sound is now available. This work was recorded at “Empire Pool (Wembley Arena) performance on April 14, 1975.” This is an audience recording that records the whole story. Speaking of the dazzle of Wembley, the BBC broadcast “BBC MASTER REELS: WEMBLEY EMPIRE POOL 1975″ is also familiar, but this work is the day before that. It’s a completely different show. The “Dazzling Broadway” tour was a miracle only from 1974 to 1975, but it is even more valuable when it comes to shows in the home country of England. First of all, let’s check the show’s position from the whole story of the world tour, which was a feat in rock history. [1974]《“Dazzling Broadway” released on November 18th》・November 20th – December 18th: North America #1 (26 performances) [1975]・January 9th – February 4th: North America # 2 (19 performances) February 19th – April 12th: Europe #1 (34 performances) April 14th – May 2nd: UK (16 performances) ←★Coco★・May 8th – 24th Sun: Europe #2 (13 performances) This is a general view of the story tour. The Wembley performance of this work was the first day of the “UK” tour. In other words, the scene of this work was the triumphant premiere of GENESIS, which enchanted the world with its story show, and it was the first venue where British people witnessed the live performance of “Dazzling Broadway”. Also, the “Dazzling Broadway” reenactment show is famous for the discovery of many superb soundboards, most of which are recorded in North America. There is only one complete sound board in the home country, the familiar Liverpool performance in “DEFINITIVE LIVERPOOL 1975” (the BBC broadcast of Wembley mentioned above is an incomplete version). Of course, “DEFINITIVE LIVERPOOL 1975” is the ultimate “British Broadway”, but I would still like to experience the historical monument tour. This work is a live album that fulfills that dream of rock history. And that dream is wonderful precisely because it is beautiful. It has traditionally been known as one of the best audience recordings of tours, but this work is digitized directly from the original master. It is the ultimate sound that comes out of the speakers exactly as it was 43 years ago. Of course, it is meaningless even if the freshness is good if the recording itself is bad, but this work is excellent in that respect as well. Although it breathes in a realistic atmosphere, it is crystal clear, the performance sound that penetrates through it has a responsive core, and the details have a tactile feel. This work is a meticulous remastering of such a famous recording. Of course, this is not an unsophisticated increase in sound pressure that pollutes the best master sound, but rather fine adjustments that create a beautiful feeling. In the excavation master, the pitch that was out of order was adjusted accurately, and the sometimes disturbed left and right stereo feeling was also stabilized. We created a sound that accurately reproduces the sounds of historical venues. Such a sound also suits “Dazzling Broadway” well. The complex ensemble that was perfected during tours in North America and continental Europe is clearly conveyed, while the exquisite acoustics give a sense of fantasy. What’s more, the audience who witnessed the huge production responded with silence rather than enthusiasm. Perhaps they were overwhelmed by the sheer scale of the show, or perhaps they were nervous because it was their first day in the UK, but the audience noise was minimal. In between each song, the applause spreads endlessly, but it quickly disappears when the next song starts. The contrast is stunning, like an FM broadcast that was mixed later. The audience was concentrating on the dazzling story, and the mood was clearly different from a show that focused on their favorite hits. This completely recreated show has a unique atmosphere. Even the atmosphere creates a historical spectacle. Progressive rock that embodies the evolution of rock. However, it did not continue to evolve forever. “Dazzling Broadway” was one of the milestones in this evolution. Although it is such a huge milestone, the scene of the story only existed in the mid-1970s. Among them, it is a live album where you can witness the precious UK premiere with master sound. This is truly a piece of cultural heritage. Live at Empire Pool, London, UK 14th April 1975 TRULY AMAZING SOUND(from Original Masters) Disc 1 (48:57) 1. Intro 2.
