Description

It was the era of “SELLING ENGLAND BY THE POUND” when Peter Gabriel’s eccentric performance exploded. The best video collection will be released. This work is truly the definitive video collection of early GENESIS. It was supervised by GENESIS MUSEUM, the headquarters trusted by collectors around the world, and is a masterpiece that has been hailed as a “treasure of 1974” in terms of content, quality, and volume. There are four types of images included in this work. Let’s introduce them individually. [February 12: TV Pro Shot in Paris] First up is the famous and well-known Pro Shot. This was taken when he appeared on the Paris TV program “THE MELODY SHOW”. You can enjoy the two songs “I Know What I Like” and “Supper’s Ready” for 30 minutes in a TV-like performance in the station’s studio. This video is amazing as it is the opening scene. Fantastic progressive rock unfolds as the earth and animated stars fly by. For the time being, it is a multi-camera that properly captures each member, but inside it is still Peter who sings mysteriously with a white-painted face. He gives off a strange aura just by standing there, but even more eccentrically, his close-up facial expressions are also intense. And with the highlights, he transforms into a legendary flower man… Among the many progressive bands, no band has created as many followers around the world as early GENESIS, but beautiful music alone won’t get you there. An unconventional performance that effortlessly transcends borders and cultures. This is a masterpiece pro shot that lets you touch the essence of it. [April 21st: Montreal Performance Pro Shot] Next up is a multi-camera pro shot. This is a Montreal performance that is well known for the supreme super famous soundboard “DEFINITIVE MONTREAL 1974 (Virtuoso 268/269)”. This show has not only the sound board but also the pro shots, and you can enjoy the pro shots that are a digest of 8 songs for 43 minutes. Of course, the audio is synchronized with the finest sound board. The point of this video is the appearance on stage. It’s not as bright as a TV studio, but it’s the perfect place to be. Peter’s appearance there is even more charismatic, without the artificiality that he does on TV. That said, the performance is overwhelming, and even if I’m wrong, I can’t even call it “natural.” The more he tours, the more diverse his costumes become, including the bat man, the Knights of Britannia, the lawn mower man, the old man, the flower man, the red box man, and so on…you can’t take your eyes off his seven avant-garde changes. Of course, it’s multi-camera, so you can enjoy close-ups of the other four performers. [March 21: Audience video of Santa Monica performance] The third video is an audience shot that allows you to enjoy such a historic show from the “audience perspective”. It is a 25 minute video digested from 6 songs, but this is also amazing. Even though it is a single camera, it repeatedly zooms in boldly and closely captures the highlights. At maximum zoom, Peter’s waist-up fills the screen, and there are also plenty of close-ups of each member. The scene is as colorful as the professional shot above, and you will forget that it is an audience shot. It would be a lie if I said that there was no camera shake, but the camera work is so stable that it is unbecoming of the ever-changing nature of the camera work, and it is so skillful that I can’t believe it was in the early days when filming the audience seats itself was extremely rare. Furthermore, the audio synchronization is also excellent. Overall, it is a supplementary video of the above Montreal performance, but the quality is not inferior even if you watch it continuously from the pro shot. Even the audience shot of the 70s was able to do this…It is a video that is overwhelmed by the fact itself. [May 6th: AUD video + SBD audio of New York performance] The last one is an audience shot from the perspective of the audience seats. This is a 7 and a half minute video digested from 4 songs: “Dancing With The Moonlit Knight”, “I Know What I Like”, “The Musical Box”, and “Supper’s Ready”. It seems that it was recorded last because of its shortness, but this is also something to behold. Although it is short, various characters are concentrated, and the audio is covered with an official take. It’s as rich as a commercial or promo clip with a tour theme. The three famous scenes mentioned above seem to be revived all at once, but it is the last 40 seconds that blows away the emotion. Peter appears in time with the pyro explosion and sings while floating on stage with wire action. It is a rare scene among the many tastes, and it is a finale worthy of a masterpiece video collection. Peter Gabriel became the first white-washed nobleman in May 1972. This is a 106-minute video collection of performances that have escalated explosively in the two years since then. A definitive piece supervised by a world-renowned enthusiast.
