Description
The continental European version of “THE LAMB LIES DOWN ON BROADWAY TOUR”, which has become a hidden gem on the soundboard. A live album that allows you to experience the scene at its best is now available. This work includes “Munich performance on April 4, 1975”. This is a masterpiece audience recording. Currently, audience recordings of “Broadway tours” are suddenly booming among enthusiasts around the world. We are continuing to discover new masters and brush up on conventional recordings. Even under such circumstances, “SOUTHAMPTON 1975” became a masterpiece that shined on the throne, and the French edition “ANNECY 1975” was also released at the same time. I will leave the overall picture of the world tour to the explanation of other works, but here I will organize each work of the European tour in detail by schedule. Europe #1, February 19th – March 22nd (17 performances), March 22nd “ANNECY 1975”, March 24th – April 3rd (8 performances), April 4th: Munich performance ←★ This work★・April 5th – April 12th (7 performances) UK・April 14th “WEMBLEY 1975 1ST NIGHT: MASTER TAPES”・April 15th: London performance・April 16th “SOUTHAMPTON 1975”・April 18: Liverpool performance April 19 “DEFINITIVE LIVERPOOL 1975” April 20-May 2 (11 performances) Europe #2 May 8-24 (13 performances) This is “THE LAMB” European leg of “LIES DOWN ON BROADWAY TOUR”. Roughly speaking, the flow was “Europe #1 (34 performances) → UK (16 performances) → Europe #2 (13 performances)”, and the Munich performance of this work was the 27th concert of “Europe #1”. This work recorded at such a show is a masterpiece audience recording that is “unfortunate!” Anyway, the basic quality is exceptionally high. The core is extremely thick and there is no sense of distance, and the fineness of the details is comparable to that of a sound board. Although the sound is full of beautiful luster, it does not become muddy or cloudy, creating the solemnity and feeling of rain that is unique to guest records. Furthermore, audience noise is also extremely small. Between songs, a huge round of applause spread throughout the venue, each drop of applause as delicate and gentle as autumn rain, making the spectacle feel delicious, but without disturbing the performance with harsh cries or applause. That is why you can have a “dazzling Broadway on-site experience” with the finest sound, no less than the new masterpiece “SOUTHAMPTON 1975” that was permanently preserved this week. So, what is “regrettable”? First, the lack of an encore. This tour will be a complete reenactment of “Dazzling Broadway,” followed by a single encore performance, with each day’s choice being “The Knife,” “Watcher of the Skies,” or “The Musical Box.” However, this work ends with only the main set. There are no other recordings, and to this day it is not known which song was the encore of this day. Well, if this is all there is to it, I wouldn’t mind making it into a permanent press, but the problem was the noise at the beginning. From the opening “The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway” to the fourth song “Cuckoo Cocoon”, there is a harsh noise. Perhaps this noise is also caused by the recording being too good. Apparently there was no problem with the taper side, and the source of the noise was the on-site PA. Of course, the noise is not enough to interfere with the performance itself, but the sound of this work is so good that even the slightest noises emitted by the PA are picked up beautifully (?). It is difficult to do anything about the cause of the PA, and if it is processed through mastering, the performance itself will be affected and the truth of the scene will be tainted… This frustration is the meaning of “It’s a shame!” In any case, other than the noise and unaccounted for encores, I can’t find any other flaws. From “In the Cage” onwards, the beautiful and beautiful sound is at full throttle, and the story of the “dazzling Broadway” that shines in rock history is told with super clear and close sound that is worthy of being called “just like a soundboard” without any questions asked. . The biggest sound board production tour “THE LAMB LIES DOWN ON BROADWAY TOUR” even in the Peter Gabriel era. This is one of the “sound board substitutes” that allows you to enjoy the “continental European edition” for which no sound board has been discovered, as if it were a line. If you love the “beauty unique to the audience”, try “ANNECY 1975,” which is full-length, and if you just want a line replacement, try this work.
