The shocking series of unreleased Genesis soundboards continues to explode! Three soundboards from the “ABACAB Tour” will be released together! This is the second in a series of three. It’s a stereo soundboard recording from the “Hartford Performance on December 2, 1981.” This newly discovered series spans not only the entire history of Genesis but also Phil Collins’ solo career, with the “ABACAB Tour” being the most prominent. Two performances were adopted for the official work “THREE SIDES LIVE”, and this new excavation series consisted of five performances that did not overlap with the official ones. The most densely packed sound was recorded in the middle of the leg, with four consecutive performances from New York to Hartford recorded on soundboards. This work, conveying the Hartford performance, is a fiercely vivid, direct-mix-table soundboard. Anyone who has experienced even one of these series will have experienced this, but the raw performance sounds are blasted out unprocessed, and the on-site PA mix is extremely vivid. However, this work (within the series) also feels lustrous in its sound processing. Depending on the song, songs with effects add thickness and a sense of pouring, and the vocals also possess a symphonic beauty. Another feature of this work is that it is complemented with audience recordings. This soundboard series also includes 100% pure soundboards, but on days when audience recordings are already known, gaps are filled in and the recordings are released. This work is also patched with audience recordings from the same day. However, there is only one complement point. That is the cheering part after “Carpet Crawlers” ends, and it only lasts 20 seconds. All the essential performance sounds are on the soundboard. Such a thick soundboard depicts a full show with the super rare song “Like It or Not” popping out! It was also a highlight of the simultaneously released “LARGO 1981 SOUNDBOARD (Amity 828)”, but it was also included in this work. It is an extremely valuable song with only five sound recordings. This time, two of the best soundboards were unearthed. The entire set is very similar to “LARGO 1981 SOUNDBOARD”, and the song selection itself is the same (the song order in the middle has been slightly swapped).
