Description
Our FREE collection permanently preserves famous recordings from the heyday. Among them, the ultimate soundboard album is now available. This work includes “Stockholm performance on December 12, 1970”. Yes, this is the best stereo soundboard recording of the classic that represented the 1970s along with the Isle of Wight Festival. This is a deluxe edition that mainly features the highest updated version, with the bonus of the sound board of “July 24, 1969: Boston Performance” and the audience recording of “October 9, 1969: Essen Performance”. Let’s briefly organize the structure of this work. ・December 12, 1970: Stockholm performance (9 songs) ・July 24, 1969: Boston performance (3 songs) ・October 9, 1969: Essen performance (audience recording 1 song) [“FREE LIVE!” Stockholm performance that can be called a sequel] As the title suggests, the main focus of this work is the 1970 Stockholm performance. This is a sound board sound source representative of the famous album “HIGHWAY” era. The official traditional edition “FREE LIVE!” was produced from the Sunderland performance in January 1970 and the Croydon performance in September, so it is a “continuation” of that. Moreover, the quality is also the best sound that can be called “another FREE LIVE!”. Although it is a classic sound board that has been known for a long time, this work uses the best one among the many masters. Furthermore, it has been refined with the latest and meticulous mastering, and is a piece that has updated the highest peak. The good ones in the previous batch were official grade, but the pitch and phase were still off, so it wasn’t perfect. Although the original master of this work is the same as the previous releases, there are no such shortcomings. We have thoroughly corrected disturbances and noise while preserving the natural feel of the recording itself to the maximum extent possible. In fact, the sound of this work is completely official class. It’s natural that it’s in close contact with zero sense of distance, but the sound is simply exquisite. It’s not just that the core is strong, but the density of the analog feel is amazing. On top of that, the fineness of the details is also not bad. Although the digital edge is not sharp, the bass vibe is lustrous and has a mellow vibe like nectar, and the guitar is so realistic that you can feel the vibration of the strings. It is a sound that allows you to fully enjoy Andy Fraser’s melody sense and Paul Kossoff’s delicate expression with a single note. Of course, the drums and vocals are superb. The stereo feel of the drums that makes you feel like you’re standing in the middle of the kit, and the vivid direct feel of the breath that spits out the lyrics are unique to the sound board. Moreover, the mix is exquisite. Although the attack feeling is not as strong as that of “FREE LIVE!”, this work exceeds the mellow taste and natural feel that conveys the richness of blues rock. The show drawn with such a sound is similar to “FREE LIVE!” The original FREE, which was active for a short period of time, did not have a large repertoire, but they changed their set almost every night. Here, let’s organize the set for the Stockholm performance. ●FREE (1 song)・Woman ●FIRE AND WATER (4 songs)・Fire and Water/All Right Now/Mr. Big・Songs that cannot be heard on FREE LIVE!: Heavy Load ●HIGHWAY (4 songs)・Ride On A Pony /Be My Friend/Songs that cannot be heard on FREE LIVE!: The Stealer/Love You So…and this is what it looks like. The three songs that are not on “FREE LIVE!” cannot be heard on “LIVE AT THE BBC”, and especially “Heavy Load” and “Love You So” are repertoires that have not been performed on the Isle of Wight. You can enjoy it with an official grade stereo sound board and an ensemble from the heyday of 1970, which is full of fat. [Precious 1969 bonus that does not overlap with the main story] ●1969 Boston performance sound board recording The main story alone is a cultural heritage, but this work includes two even more delicious 1969 bonus sound sources. First, three soundboard songs from the 1969 Boston performance. This is also a famous sound board representing 1969, but it is still a new master that updates the highest peak. The update is both in length and sound. In the first place, sound boards are known as stereo and monaural versions, and the monaural version has better sound. The one included in this work is one of them, but it is fresher and more than 2 minutes longer than the previous one. In fact, although the performance consisted of the same three songs as before, a voice that appeared to be from a person who appeared to be the host was also recorded after the performance. This is strangely interesting. Is it a microphone check with lots of effects? Although it makes you think that, the content is also an introduction to B.B. King, who will appear next. The sound itself is full of echoes, and the way it continues even if it’s difficult for the audience to hear, is very reminiscent of the 1960s. Another point is the selection of three songs. “Walk In My Shadow,” “Moonshine,” and “Songs Of Yesterday” do not overlap with the main Stockholm performance. The volume was increased with bonus tracks of songs that do not cover the original “FREE LIVE!”, but this Boston performance sound board also plays the same role. Moreover, “Songs Of Yesterday” is a delicious take that could not be heard even in “FREE LIVE!” with Botora. ●1969 Essen performance audience recording and a bonus bonus of the 1969 Essen performance. This is the only audience recording, but it is a stunning recording that is not inferior to listening even if you listen to it continuously from the sound board (although it cannot be said to be better). Although there is only one song, “Trouble On Double Time”, which does not overlap with the main Stockholm performance. As mentioned earlier, FREE at that time was not a band with a large repertoire, but you can enjoy 13 songs on this single album. FREE in 1970 released “FIRE AND WATER” and “HIGHWAY” in quick succession, and even created “FREE LIVE!”. British rock was filled with a myriad of heroes, but I don’t think there was a band as brilliant as them at the time. This work is a soundboard album where you can enjoy such miraculous blues rock over 13 songs and approximately 74 minutes. This is the highest updated edition. A truly cultural heritage piece. “Midnight Hour”, Radiohuset, Stockholm, Sweden 12th December 1970 STEREO SBD(UPGRADE)(74:05) 01. The Stealer 02. Fire And Water 03. Ride On A Pony 04. Heavy Load 05.
