Description
This is a nearly complete recording of a live performance at the Spectrum Theater in Philadelphia on November 3rd, from the fall of 1975 North American and Canadian tour, which was recently released online by a taper owner and is said to be the best quality available. First of all, there was a lot of member change during this period, and in the spring of the same year, they toured with a fluid lineup, including a joint tour with Beefheart. In particular, the youthful drumming of Terry Bozzio, who joined in the spring, and the black feeling vocals of Napoleon Murphy, as well as the return of Roy from the original Mothers, are major points. Furthermore, Norma Jean Bell joined two days before this day, and although she and Napoleon Murphy formed a twin saxophone lineup, they only accompanied the tour for about a month, so the live recordings by this lineup are quite rare. The following February, the band also performed in Japan for a legendary concert, and the structure and set are relatively similar, so this collector’s edition is a must-listen for fans. DISC 1 : 01.
