Description
In 1978, Foreigner’s first album was a huge hit, and their first Japan tour consisted of four performances in Osaka, Tokyo, Nagoya, and Kokura. Completely recorded with high quality audience recording over 75 minutes. Introducing a piece that will attract collectors’ attention, using an original master cassette that is not even available among traders. It feels like a high-quality audience recording at the time, and the appeal of this board is the freshness of the sound and the splendor of the texture that make Master Direct confident. The sound image is stable from beginning to end, and you can enjoy the entire show with a very easy-to-listen sound. (There is a tape change cut at 11:47 in the end part of Starrider, and that part is supplemented with a different sound source from the same day.) The performance, which is typical of a rock band from this period, is truly wonderful, and it is especially beautifully recorded. Mick Jones’ wild and relaxed guitar playing is at its best, allowing fans to enjoy a blissful time. The MC is also short, and Lou’s powerful vocals are very appealing. (Before coming to Japan, I contracted the Soviet flu, and the doctor stopped me, so the Shizuoka performance on March 30th was cancelled, but as far as I listen to this album, I feel that there is no problem with the condition at all, and the singing voice is energetic until the last Headknocker.) ) Their second album, “Double Vision,” which was released in the summer of the same year and sold 5 million copies, has not yet been released, and famous songs such as Hot Blooded and Double Vision are played as new songs. It’s refreshing to be there. Naturally, the set is lined with songs from the first album, and there is something irresistible for rock fans who love Foreigner at this time. The rock grooves such as At War With The World are the best. Ian Macdonald’s outstanding saxophone and flute playing, and Al Greenwood’s rock keyboard-like play that makes full use of organ and synth are also powerful. Foreigner, a rock band, never forgets their stance even in the midst of an updraft, and their stage performance is perfect for listening to.
