Description
This is a nearly complete recording of the performance at the National Stadium in Dublin, Ireland on May 9th from the 1973 Euro Tour of the Dutch progressive rock band Focus, from a good audience master for that time. The sound source from the original master owned by Taper is a precious live performance at the height of their success in the UK and Europe with the release of “FOCUS 3”, and it is also nice that the set is almost the same as the official live performance “Live at the Rainbow”. This was the time when the band reached the peak of their popularity and ability, mainly featuring numbers from the masterpiece “Focus 3”, which is a wonderful fusion of baroque and jazz improvisation. Jan Ackerman’s outstanding guitar playing, Thijs van Leer’s keyboard, flute, and unique vocal performance are unique and original, and this is a must-listen item for fans, where you can reaffirm their advanced techniques. 1.
