This is a live recording of the Five Piece Band, a group formed by Chick Corea and John McLaughlin, who led the jazz fusion world in the 70s as Return to Forever and the Mahavishnu Orchestra. This is a good audience recording. It contains the late set on November 5th and the early set on the 6th, but the dates are reversed so that the sets can be arranged in a better order. The members Kenny Garrett, John Patitucci, Brian Blade, and Gayle Moran also join, making this a lineup that is a little closer to Chick’s.
