Description
EUROPE, who came to Japan for the first time in four years with “WALK THE EARTH”, has already released their best live album. This visit to Japan was a three-night consecutive performance at Club Citta Kawasaki, but this work contains the first day. This is a superb audience recording from “April 26, 2019”. The complete reproduction of “WINGS OF TOMORROW” was also a hot topic in the last visit to Japan in 2015 (you can enjoy it in “WINGS OVER KAWASAKI (Zodiac 106)”), but this show was also conceptual. Although it was not an album reproduction, the albums that were featured on a daily basis were specified. First of all, let’s organize which albums were featured over the three days.・April 26th “WINGS OF TOMORROW” “WAR OF KINGS” special feature ・April 27th “EUROPE” “START FROM THE DARK” special feature ・April 28th “PRISONERS IN PARADISE” “LAST LOOK AT EDEN” special feature The above three performances. Since this work is the first day, it is a live album featuring “WINGS OF TOMORROW” and the previous work “WAR OF KINGS”, which were completely reproduced on the last visit to Japan. This work, which recorded such a show, is a superb audience recording with “super”. After all, it was recorded by Mr. “Western Japan’s Strongest Taper”, a skilled expert who is second to none when it comes to recording modern HR / HM. In recent years, this name has been recorded in the Kanto region so much that it feels old-fashioned, but this work is the latest bullet. Speaking of Mr. “Strongest”, his individuality is that it is full of sound board-like feel. Ultra-vivid details that give no sense of distance, an extremely thick core that penetrates the brain, a faint sound that produces a metallic sheen, and the breath of the audience that feels strangely far away yet still conveys the heat… This work also has all of these elements, making it even more vivid. The rawness that is so intimate is more like a sound board directly connected to the table than an audience recording (of course, in fact, it is a customer recording). Such a sound depicts a treasure trove of conceptual yet wide-ranging masterpieces. This tour is themed around albums, so let’s organize them by album. [All days] ● THE FINAL COUNTDOWN (5 songs) Rock the Night, Carrie, Ninja, Cherokee, The Final Countdown ● OUT OF THIS WORLD (3 songs) Sign of the Times, Ready or Not, Superstitious ● WALK THE EARTH (3 songs) Walk the Earth, The Siege, Turn to Dust [Daily songs] ● WINGS OF TOMORROW (6 songs) Wasted Time, Open Your Heart, Scream of Anger, Dreamer, Stormwind, Dance the Night Away ● WAR OF KINGS (4 songs) Nothin’ to Ya, War of Kings, Hole in My Pocket, The Second Day … and so on. Of course, the show is not divided by album, but is a normal mixed style. However, when you organize it like this, the contents are clear, and the numbers of “THE FINAL COUNTDOWN”, “OUT OF THIS WORLD”, and “WALK THE EARTH” are common for three days. And only the songs of “WINGS OF TOMORROW” and “WAR OF KINGS” that were featured were played only on this day. In fact, the first day of this work was the show with the fewest rare songs out of the three days, but when you actually listen to it, it is full of freshness. The key is the “WAR OF KINGS” and “WALK THE EARTH” numbers. Although the last time they came to Japan was in 2015, it was before the release of “WAR OF KINGS”. Therefore, all the songs from these two recent works were performed in Japan for the first time. It’s a show as if seven songs were being played from the new two-disc set. And from a global perspective, the “WINGS OF TOMORROW” numbers are also delicious. Although the album was completely reproduced on the last tour, it was not for all performances. Moreover, the two songs “Dreamer” and “Dance the Night Away” have not been performed on the subsequent world tour, and it is their first comeback in four years. The 2019 Japan tour, which transformed the show conceptually for all three days. The first day was a show that brought together the extremes of the 1980s and recent years. This is a show that allows you to fully experience the whole story with a superb level of superb sound.
