Description

Eric Clapton, Japan Tour 2019, the super-fast release of the raging wave continues! This is the high-quality original master of the final performance at the Budokan, which was just held on the 20th (Sat) last Saturday. Our shop decided to release this board less than a week ago. It was because it was such a superb master. With this, all five performances are complete. This master was also provided directly by the recorder, and the recording position is a genuine arena front row recording. You can feel the closeness and clarity of the powerful musical sound (the drum sound is amazing!) and the stereo feeling (the separation between Clapton and Doyle is amazing!) of the front row recording. Anyway, we decided to release it at a super-fast speed in accordance with our motto of releasing the highest quality sound source faster than anywhere else for fans who are still not waking up from the concert. Will there be a revival of Electric Layla on the final day? Will there be any changes to the set list as a result? Will Clapton make any comments at the end? The final performance was expected and many speculated, but in the end, the set list was the same as the second day and included the unplugged Layla, and there was no comment. However, considering Clapton’s advanced age, fans felt that this day might be his last performance in Japan. That’s why 10,000 people went to the final performance. We can’t predict what will happen in the future, but this is a superb sound quality record that we would like you to remember as the recording of Clapton’s last performance in Japan for now. The highlight of this final day, ironically, is that even though he showed a lot of fatigue, he suppressed it with professionalism and defended the quality of the songs. When I listened to Pretending, which started out uneasy and revealed some questionable parts in the song, I was worried about what would happen next, but Clapton was as expected. He rode the wave with his favorite Key to the Highway, and in Wanna Make Love to You, he played a thrilling solo with his speed playing and a deep song that made the audience roar. This was probably the best performance of the day. Although he was a little hesitant at the end of I Shot the Sheriff, the phrase structure that went from quiet to active was nothing short of amazing. Although he made a rare mistake in the intro to Layla, he completed a delicate and sentimental acoustic set. Even in the second half of the stage, he sometimes played a dangerous game, but he didn’t collapse. Clapton fought hard against the deterioration of his fingers due to old age, and maintained his playing quality. While resisting old age, his performance gave the impression of a state of serenity that can only be achieved by growing old. This is the mirror of an active, old professional. On the final day, the audience must have etched this image into their hearts. The final day was a memorable one. This is a sound source you’ll want to have just for that, but this is the only one that has achieved such ultra-high quality. Make it a piece of eternal memory. ★Arena front row recording.
