Description

Eric Clapton’s Japan Tour 2019 continues with super-fast releases! This week, we will complete and release the high-quality original master of the fourth day’s performance, which took place on Thursday the 18th of last week, as a package media in just one week. If this happens, you will have no choice but to collect all the performances! The recorder of this master is the same person who provided the master for “Eric Clapton – Budokan 2019 The 2nd Show”. The recording position is in front of the B8 block of the arena. As stated in the review of “Eric Clapton – Budokan 2019 The 2nd Show”, it is a taper that has a reputation as a recorder that boasts outstanding sound quality. Therefore, the sound quality of this board is also outstanding, and the clarity and balance are impeccable. In the original master, there were some parts where the applause of the nearby audience was slightly loud, but our mastering suppressed it as much as possible without affecting the musical sound. The sound quality is very easy to listen to. The set list has settled down, and the performance on the fourth day, which finally presented a rock-solid quality of play, is the opening Pretending. The two solos using the wah are smooth and thrilling. And Wanna Make Love To You, which is also full of melancholy. I think again, it’s a really great song. The performance on this day was particularly powerful! In the solo, you can hear the hand vibrato that shakes your heart. The solo of I’m Your Hoochie Coochie Man is also thrilling! The highlight of the first half, the clever phrase composition of the postlude of I Shot the Sheriff, and the way it was built up was probably the best of the five performances on this day. Not to mention the acoustic set that was played solidly, moistly, and tightly, the flow of the electric set in the second half was also rock-solid. It’s a charm that he misses the first tone of the arpeggio in the bridge part of Badge. In a sense, it’s a rare scene. I thought he would drag it out and stick to a quiet solo, but at the end of the solo, Clapton really spits fire. Then, he finished off Crossroads, Little Queen of Spades, and Cocaine. Especially in Cocaine, he played his favorite phrases. It was very satisfying to listen to. It was a day with high quality performance. Along with the second day, the 15th, there were few mistakes and it was full of attractive performances. Please enjoy this high quality sound. ★The recording location was in front of the B8 block of the arena. The sound quality is excellent.
