Description
Eric Clapton has successfully completed his first performance in Japan in three years. In addition to the 4CDs containing the upgraded master from the first day, the high-quality original master from the third day, April 17th, which was obtained directly from the taper, is also the fastest release! Our motto is to provide titles that are better than anywhere else, faster than anywhere else. The master recording of this board is by the same taper as “Budokan 2019 Day 2”. The recording position is a good position, in front of Arena A. There are many customers who know the manners only in the front block, and there is no annoying audience noise. If you have listened to “Budokan 2019 Day 2”, you should be satisfied with the quality. Then there is no doubt about the quality of this board. Like “Budokan 2019 Day 2”, the sound is stable and the sound balance from the mid-low range to the high range is also good. It can be said that the hall and atmosphere of the Budokan were reproduced in a realistic way, and there were no noisy spectators around, so the performance was able to be concentrated on the live performance. It was a promising set list, and as expected, it was the same as the second day. The set list seems to have been fixed at this point, and Electric Layla was not played, and the unexpectedness, wildness, and dangerous thrill of the first day were gone, but instead, Clapton and the band’s performance seemed to be on a rock-solid course. However, Clapton seemed to be a little tired that day, and when he played a phrase that was out of tune in the opening Pretending, he seemed to have dragged it out and made a mistake in his solo. His voice was not very good. However, in the next song, Key to the Highway, he suddenly started to regain his rhythm with a relaxed play. In the outtake song Wanna Make Love to You from the album “AUGUST,” which is a hot topic among enthusiasts for its rare selection, he plays a passionate solo, and finally his guitar and singing are back to normal. And the next song, I’m Your Hoochie Coochie Man, is a perfect recovery! From here, the set proceeds smoothly and nicely, tracing the song order of the second day. At the beginning of the acoustic set time, he shows his ease by calling out to the audience, “Yes, are you having fun?” At the end of the acoustic set, he plays Unplugged Layla, following on from the second day. Some information says that he had blisters on his left hand on the first day, which forced him to change from the hard electric Layla to the unplugged Layla, but the fulfillment of the unplugged Layla, which resonates with Martin’s wonderful tone, is not lost. The second half of the show returned to the pattern of the past few years, with Clapton performing an energetic solo that seemed to fly through the sky in Crossroads, and Little Queen of Spades overwhelmed the audience with a bluesy performance that pierced their hearts. At the end of the main set, he played Cocaine with great enthusiasm. The middle solo was a wah play with a nuance that only Clapton could produce. And the encore was High Time We Went, sung by Paul Carrack, as has been the case in recent years. However, in this solo, he exploded with a sharp phrase that I thought was the best of the day. As expected of Clapton. Clapton’s play was also fulfilling on this day. Every song was a perfect listen. The musical tone was on and the audience’s voices were few, so it was easy to listen to. Please enjoy Clapton, whose play expression was different every day, with this main board that reports on the third day with the fastest and best sound quality for the time being! ! ★Arena A3 block front.
