Description
Eric Clapton performed in Japan for the second time in 1975. The tour consisted of seven shows, starting at the Osaka Festival Hall, then going to Kyoto, Kitakyushu, Shizuoka, and finishing at the Budokan. Osaka and Tokyo were the only two big cities with two consecutive shows. In stark contrast to the intoxicating, calm atmosphere of the previous year, this year’s Japan tour began with the up-tempo “Layla,” and the overall composition was full of a sense of speed, making it a more polished stage. This work is a recording of the first performance at the Osaka Festival Hall on October 22, 1975, from this second tour. It has been carefully transcribed from the analog record, which is the best sound source. FESTIVAL HALL OSAKA JAPAN OCTOBER 22, 1975 DISC ONE 01. Layla 02. Key To The Highway 03.
