Description
Following his performance at Madison Square Garden in New York in March 2017, he will perform at the Royal Albert Hall in London on May 22nd, 24th, and 25th. The first day, the 22nd, is recorded in 95 minutes in a complete digital audience recording. After two performances in New York in March, Clapton canceled his scheduled Los Angeles performance due to acute bronchitis and worsening rheumatism, and there were concerns about his health after that, but these three London performances were held without any problems. Including his performance in Japan in 2016, he performed all three days in what seemed to be his best physical condition in recent years, and on this first day, the set list and stage composition were the standard in recent years, but there was also a surprise in the middle of the acoustic set where he performed “Bell Bottom Blues” in a reggae arrangement. However, since he was removed from the set from the second night onwards, it became a rare number that was only available on this one night. From “.Little Queen Of Spades” towards the end of the show, to the four songs leading up to the encore, opening act Doyle Bramhall II joined in, and you should definitely check out the heated guitar battle he and Clapton engaged in. Furthermore, disc 3 also includes additional footage of Doyle Bramhall II’s opening act. The album mainly features numbers from “Rich Man,” which he had just released the previous year, and is full of his distinctive bluesy playing, so this is also a must-listen. Disc 1 : 1. Intro 2.
