Description
The final show of ARMS’ US tour in 1983, the performances at Madison Square Garden in New York on December 8th and 9th, were recorded in full with the highest level of audience recording. This is an important sound source that fans must have, recorded directly from the original master cassette, which is not available at all among traders. On both days, the sound image is stable from start to finish, and you can enjoy the final show of the historic tour with a clear, punchy sound with plenty of sound pressure. Following the success of the London RAH performance, the short US tour for the ARMS Foundation included nine performances in Dallas (11/28&29), San Francisco (12/1,2&3), Los Angeles (12/5&6), and New York (12/8&9). Joe Cocker will replace Steve Winwood, who participated in the London performance, on the US tour, and Paul Rodgers will play the Jimmy Page part, and Jan Hammer will play Jeff Beck. The first day was a thick and solid sound image, and the second day was a sound with emphasized high frequencies, but the sound pressure was more than enough on both days, and the overall sound quality was very clear. The thick and powerful sound of the rhythm and percussion was very wonderful, and the musical tones were recorded with such excellent sound quality that the detailed guitar playing and each note of the keyboard could be clearly heard on both days, so you can enjoy the whole show without stress. There are some missing parts at the beginning of Watching The River Flow on both days and 8:32 of Midnight Moonlight on the final day due to tape changes, but they have been carefully cross-faded and connected, so you don’t feel too stressed when listening. You can see that PA noise is running in the second song of the first day, Lay Down Sally, but it proceeds without any problems after that. The drum and percussion solo parts in the second half of Rita Mae on both days are also recorded with great force (the excitement of the venue is also amazing). That’s Alright and Have You Ever Loved A Woman are also very on-recorded, so they are perfect for listening. The same goes for Cocaine, and you will be very surprised by its high sound quality and sound pressure. There is a pro-shot video of the final performance on December 9th, but the first half of the Clapton set was an incomplete recording of Cocaine only, so the appearance of this album will be a very happy piece for Clapton fans. It will be released in a limited edition of 200 sets from the Beano label. Jeff Beck was recorded from the sound check on stage. This is also recorded with great sound quality, mainly powerful drums that you will want to listen to over and over again, and you can enjoy the magnificent collaboration of Jeff and Jan Hammer. The same goes for Jimmy Page’s stage, where you can listen to his collaboration with Paul Rodgers and solo play with the ideal highest sound quality. Unlike the London performance, Clapton and Beck appear on stage at Stairway To Heaven and you can hear the three of them performing together. For the encore, all the performers appeared on stage to play Layla and With A Little Help From My Friends, and then Ronnie Lane appeared at the end to sing April Fool and Good Night Irene accompanied by all the other performers. This is a spectacular live documentary that completely records the dreamlike live performance by such distinguished members as Joe Cocker, Paul Rodgers, Charlie Watts of the Stones, Bill Wyman, and Ronnie Wood in the best sound quality over the course of 5 hours and 30 minutes.
