Description

Performance in Japan held in October 1985. Introducing 6 CDs / 2 titles containing all 6 performances divided into the first half and 3 performances in the second half. The “Behind The Sun” tour, which started at the same time as the release of the new album, toured Europe and the United States from February to July, and then expanded to Japan in October for the first time in four years. The lineup includes a strong rhythm section consisting of Dan and Oldaker, Tim Renwick, who elevates the band with his reliable playing, Chris Stainton, who has been a permanent member since 1979, and two female chorus members. With a fixed setlist that includes four songs, a gorgeous stage performance that fully demonstrates the charm of the commercial album and the band’s momentum is unfolding. Clapton’s guitar, which captivates the audience with a different approach to each performance by placing the two blues songs “Same Old Blues” and “Double Trouble” in the first half and second half, is stable throughout all performances, and is especially inspired by the rhythm section. There are no performances that give the same impression, and you can hear the thrilling play unique to this period, which is a mix of the danger of the 1970s and the stability of 1988 and beyond. Regarding the sound quality, the sound source recorded in this title is the same as the previously released “EC IS HERE”, but for this release, the master cassette owned by the recorder was borrowed and recorded. What’s surprising is the difference in sound quality. The sound recorded this time is natural and wide from high to low, and has a rich stereo feel, and all performances are recorded at the same level of sound as the high-quality discs of recent DAT sound sources. The bass part, which was poorly separated on the previous release, is completely different from the granularity of the bass, and the treble part, where each instrument interfered with each other, is recorded with cymbals (especially hi-hat), guitar, and keyboard with excellent separation. . The sound quality is so amazing that even those who have previously released records will recognize it as a new source without prior knowledge. 1985 “Behind The Sun” All three performances in Japan are packaged in a 6-disc set of super high-quality discs.
