Description
This 1 hour 46 minute recording captures the New Year’s Eve, December 31, 1997, charity concert held at a community center in Clapton’s hometown in Surrey, captured in audience recording from a recently released DAT master. This rare recording, first released here, is a rare and exceptionally high-quality DAT recording, acclaimed at the time for its exceptional balance and realism throughout. This annual concert was held without a public audience, making the recording itself rare. This particular night featured a unique lineup featuring four guitarists, including Clapton. The set, unlike the usual, encompasses a wide variety of originals, rare covers, and blues numbers. Above all, this rare live recording captures the relaxed atmosphere and the joyous performance of the entire band, captured in the highest quality.
