Description
Recently released by the owner, this 1 hour and 48 minute live performance from Liverpool on May 13th, the second show of the band’s short 2009 UK tour, is a high-quality audience shot. Filmed from the second floor stands on the left side of the stage, with almost no obstructions in front, and extensive use of zoom, the footage recreates the night’s action with stable footage. The band also embarked on an 11-date Japan tour in February of the same year, including a highly anticipated two-day joint performance with Jeff Beck at Saitama Super Arena. The setlist is quite different from that tour, with Steve Gadd on drums. The setlist opens with a surprise “Going Down Slow,” followed by a first cover of Dylan’s “Not Dark Yet,” and the following performance, “Anytime For You,” a blues number by Big Maceo, also featured for the first time in a live performance. This collector’s edition is a must-see for fans, as it’s a completely different performance from the Japan show three months earlier.
