This is a compilation of master quality, soundboard recordings of the so-called “Layla Sessions” held at Criteria Studios in Miami on August 2, 1970. Clapton was very active at this time, releasing his first solo album and starting his first UK tour as Derek & the Dominos a week after the Miami session. Among them, some of the takes from his long-awaited studio session with Duane were released, but this release includes jam session recordings and different takes that were not included in the “Layla Sessions.” Fans will love the fact that they can enjoy Duane’s brilliant slide playing, even though it is just a jam session.
