Description
Eric Clapton’s original master, a treasured taper living in the UK, is being released one after another! This time it will be the best stereo sound board complete recording master of 1987. First of all, this is the original master of the LA performance on April 14th. The sound source of this day has been released in the past, and judging from its good sound quality, it is assumed that the original source was a leaked master from this important taper official, but this time our store released it. This edition is truly a release from the first generation, borrowing the original master directly. If you are particular about sound, you will understand the meaning of “original”. In addition to the good sound quality and sound balance that could be released as an official live album, there are no cuts between songs, no noise, and no trouble spots. During the additional sessions for the album “BEHIND THE SUN”, Clapton, who was able to clearly show off his skills as a popular black session man from LA, welcomed them and used his ally Phil Collins for drumming and production. AUGUST” was a breakthrough for him. The spring 1987 U.S. tour, which was also carried out to promote the album, could be said to be the realization of his ideals, in line with the persona of the album. It is reflected in the positivity of Clapton’s play, the band ensemble, and the sharpness of the sound on this board. Clapton probably had no choice but to receive the support of this member and want to defeat him. Aggressive phrases explode from the intro, which can be expressed with dignity and dignity. Then, guided by Collins’ light and strong drumming, Crossroads begins to show a different expression from the previous songs. Four songs from the album “AUGUST” are set in, but in addition to that, the biggest thing to listen to on this stage is the 22-minute Same Old Blues. Clapton’s original blues was featured on the previous year’s tour, but here it has completely changed into a long and epic number. Following Clapton’s flipping solo, Nathan East (bass) is featured and performs a long bass solo with scat. It’s a solo with a lot of fusion color, and it gives you a sense of his background. His technical skills are on display as he was in demand for sessions of all genres that were popular in LA at the time, including pop music, and on this tour, he and keyboardist Greg Phillinganes played this song. It seems that they confessed to Clapton that they felt their black roots in their skin. It was an amazing performance in which Clapton, a white British man, taught the essence of the blues to two black American musicians who had, in a sense, passed over the blues. The players themselves must have felt Clapton’s spirit that transcended the color of his skin in the performance of this song. Looking at these facts, it can be said that this stage shows how much this band stimulated and inspired each other. Please enjoy this stage with the original master quality.
