Description
From the 1974 US tour accompanying the release of “Brain Reform of Fear”, the performance in Anaheim, California on February 1st is recorded in full from the master audience tape owned by the legendary taper Mike Millard, which was recently unearthed for the first time. First of all, it is recorded from the first generation master of the Millard tape, which has been released one after another in recent years, and the soundboard sound source of the second day’s performance the following day by KBFH radio on air also exists, but this is a complete full recording and this time is also the first public sound source that will surprise fans all over the world, and the band sound and the lively cheers and applause are recorded in an exquisite balance, and the separate feeling that you can hear every detail is unique to the Millard tape. And the live performance that seems to revive the aggressive and wild performance at the time of debut, from the familiar opening, the tremendous speed of “Hoedown”, to the encore “Pictures at an Exhibition” with a spectacular arrangement that went all the way, is due to the tension that you can’t experience at an official live performance. Especially the imposing “Jerusalem”, the raging and frenzied “Toccata”, and the nearly 30-minute “Tarkus”, the performance is at full throttle from the beginning, and the power of the audience recording is extremely strong, so this is a must-listen item for fans of the past.
