Description
THE DOOBIE BROTHERS made their breakthrough in 1972 with “TOULOUSE STREET” and the single “Listen to the Music.” Introducing a live album by a legendary master who allows you to experience such a historical scene. This work was recorded at “Boston performance on September 12, 1972”, and the legendary master is Joe Maloney. This is a superb audience recording recorded by one of the greatest masters of the 70’s, along with Mike Millard and Dan Lumpinski. As some of you may have already noticed, this week we are releasing two Maroney Masters at the same time. This work is the same day and venue as the T.REX edition, and is the sister work THE DOOBIE BROTHERS edition, which was their opening act. No matter who’s opening act, this is definitely THE DOOBIE BROTHERS’ masterpiece live album. First of all, let’s look back at the 1972 schedule where fate changed and check the show’s position.・January 6th – April 15th: North America #1 (24 performances) ・May 5th – 25th: North American #2 (3 performances) ・June 17th – July 1st: North America #3a (3 performances) Performances)《“TOULOUSE STREET” released on July 1st》・July 3rd – August 2nd: North America #3b (7 performances)・August 30th – December 28th: North America #4 (47 performances) ← ★Here★ This is THE DOOBIE BROTHERS from 1972. Although a short tour was held before and after the release of “TOULOUSE STREET”, the full-fledged US tour started about two years after its release. The Boston performance of this work was the 7th concert of “North America #4”, which had just started. This work, which is a vacuum-packed version of such a show, is truly the best. As I mentioned in the explanation of the main act T.REX, the extremely thick core roars without any sense of distance, and the subtle luster of the sound is exquisite. Although it is possible to find evidence of audience recording in the sound of the snare, the clarity and listenability are almost the same as FM broadcasting. Such merits are natural since it is Maroney, but this work has the added freshness that comes from being an original master. The freshness with no dubbing marks or tape deterioration is mesmerizing, and the beauty of the long tone that stretches straight and the sexiness of the mellow sound. There is no way that the “sound” that is just the vibration of the air can have a scent, but it is a masterpiece of real beauty that you can feel the smell you breathed in the 1970s in your nostrils. What is depicted with such a lustrous and beautiful sound is a stage where the potential of the band that created the masterpiece “TOULOUSE STREET” is concentrated and exploded. As mentioned above, this show is T.REX’s opening, and their duration is about 45 minutes. In that short time, we will be able to compile famous songs and rich jams. Leaving jams and solos aside for now, here’s a selection of famous songs… Toulouse Street (4 songs) ・Listen to the Music/Mamaloi/Discipline/Jesus Is Just Alright Others (2 songs) ・Nobody/Tilted Park Crud Hunchery… It looks like this. “Jesus Is Just Alright” is a suite-like song that was included in “Discipline,” and the precious “Tilted Park Crud Hunchery” also includes drum solos and jams, each of which are over 14 minutes long. To put it bluntly, their performance far exceeds that of the opening act, T.REX. No, T.REX’s live performance, which is engraved in the sister work, is not bad, but rather, it is a historic heyday. However, THE DOOBIE BROTHERS, which has just broken out and is full of momentum, has a different actor. The tight ensemble of twin guitars/twin drums, the beautiful chorus work, and the excitement of the jam that builds up are vivid, as if promising future breakthroughs. And, this work is also a sound that allows you to feel the organic intertwining in detail. In 1972, they completed their iron-clad lineup and made a breakthrough. This is a masterpiece of a live album in which the most important moment in long history was recorded with the help of a legendary recording artist. Not only is this work itself an outstanding music album, but even if you combine it with the T.REX edition to experience the full night, it is the best. A piece that will brighten up the long autumn nights with luxurious locks. The best audience recording of “September 12, 1972 Boston Performance”. This is one of the most famous products that has been digitized by the prestigious Krw_co, which is the original cassette of legendary master Joe Maloney. The extra-thick core makes a roar without any sense of distance, and the slight ringing gives it a beautiful shine, and the freshness that only comes from being a master master is exquisite. At the show, the potential of the band that created the masterpiece “TOULOUSE STREET” was concentrated and exploded, and they performed “Tilted Park Crud Hunchery” and plenty of hot jams.
