Description
From the 1994 “Strange Highways” tour, the July 10th Milwaukee Summer Fest performance is completely recorded in ultra-high quality stereo soundboard recording using FM sound source. The third DVD is the definitive 3-disc set of the 1994 Milwaukee performance, which includes the digital master of the excellent title “Ronnie’s Birthday Party”, which carefully synchronizes the line recording with the high-quality audience shot video of the day. It’s here. We chose the best master from the FM sound source that was praised by enthusiasts as “the best of the 90s.” The stage was hailed as “a match for the official Dio’s Inferno” due to its wonderful sound and live performance, and it was recorded with the highest level of line recording (this is the only line recording from the same tour) and Dio’s Inferno, which literally puts even the official to shame. You can enjoy plenty of high-quality footage that no fan will be satisfied with. The sound that colors the whole, has a sharp edge, and is full of a hot, direct feeling that will burn you if you touch it, is truly wonderful, and of course Ronnie’s piercing vocals, Tracy G’s guitar playing freely, and Vinny Appice. The tight and powerful rhythm play woven by former DOKKEN member Jeff Pilson, and the way they all come together is truly a masterpiece! There are actually 6 songs included in the set from the new work “Strange Highways” at the time, which had mixed reviews among fans. Dio’s positive attitude and spirit, which continues to challenge the scene with his current style without turning his back on the times, is powerfully conveyed through both new and old songs. One of the great things about this sound source is that it is recorded almost uncut, including between songs, which is rare for FM sound sources, so it is the strongest and best document, including the passionate cheers recorded with ideal sound balance. It is finished. The day is also Ronnie’s birthday, and the big chorus of Happy Birthday after the performance is also recorded perfectly. At the time, the popularity of orthodox HR bands was on the decline due to the popularity of grunge, but as for Dio, you can enjoy the best content that shows that it was a very fulfilling period musically. The super high-quality soundboard takes on Discs 1 & 2, which are recorded in such a high quality that they can be officially released, are truly amazing, but the audience video that can be seen on the DVD on Disc 3 is also spectacular, and the entire movie is worth watching. You can enjoy the contents of The FM sound board sound source is completely linked to the audience video of the day, and the super beautiful sound and digital clear video are synchronized without a moment’s disturbance, making it a masterpiece video! Camera shake is a bit uneasy at the beginning, but it stabilizes after a few minutes of the first song. Perhaps because we were seated on the second floor, we were at a high angle, so we were not obstructed by the arms of the front row, and there were no obstructions from the full view of the stage to the zoom of each person. Furthermore, with the help of beautiful digital image quality, it is so powerful that Ronnie on the screen makes you say, “This is it!” In fact, it is a beauty that suits the super clear soundboard audio that is covered. Also, the degree of synchronization between the image and sound is amazing. There’s nothing out of the ordinary about every single beat of the drum solo, every single pick of the guitar. Furthermore, perhaps because there was not enough sound board sound source, the missing few seconds (the middle part between the MC after Heaven And Hell and The Last In Line, before the start of Here’s To You) were supplemented with audience audio. Once again, precise matching down to the millimeter ensures vivid transitions. It is the result of painstaking work, and the quality is overflowing with the deep love of the fans. To be honest, there was a time when the album was disliked for being too heavy, but the live performance you see in the video is just like the DIO of yesteryear. Even if it’s a heavy song, it’s exactly the same Ronnie we love, as always. It is true that “Ronnie from RAINBOW” is not here, but it is refreshing to see his dignified appearance and brave singing voice transform “heavyness” into “heavy drama”, and from the screen you can see “Here This is the man who changed Sabbath.” The persuasive power is overflowing. There was some decline in his later years, but at this point he was in great condition with no problems at all. Best of all, it’s great to see Ronnie himself enjoying the new music with so much energy. This makes me so happy. Also worth mentioning is bassist Jeff Pilson. DOKKEN’s familiar backing vocals are clear and clear, and familiar songs such as We Rock with a beautiful bridge and Holy Diver, which is almost a duet, have been reborn. The new song, Here’s To You, has been elevated to a song worthy of ending with Jeff’s chorus, and “DIO Harmony” is historically valuable as the band was not blessed with a chorus. His intense head banging also looks great on stage, and he may have been the best bassist for DIO. In addition, Vinnie Appice added a new taste of silly to the performance, and Tracy G, who has the No. 1 impact of all time, goes wild and plays old songs as much as he likes. DIO from the 2000s, which traces old songs, isn’t bad, but it’s the live shows that update even old songs that move the soul. The devilish Ronnie in new songs, the members changing old songs…New discoveries that surprise long-time fans are constantly occurring, and I am constantly overwhelmed by the appearance of a great figure who is particular about his current appearance. What makes this show even more special is the closing song, Happy Birthday. The roadies led the chorus, pointing their microphones at the audience and singing along. This is the entire audience audio, but that’s why the warm chorus celebrating Ronnie’s 52 years old is a moving scene. Although it is a maniac, it is an absolutely amazing video. The more I watch and listen to him, the more I realize that Ronnie has always been wonderful.
