Description

This is a precious live video of DEVO’s legendary 1979 Japan tour, which caused a sensation with the headline “Japan in danger! The crazy brain group Devo is attacking!”. The TV footage of the performance at Nippon Budokan on May 28, the final day of the Japan tour, was recorded in master quality and professional shot. Although there was some screen shaking at the end, there was almost no noise or distortion other than that, and the whole video was a wonderful reproduction of the time itself. The part where they took off their yellow work clothes in “Jocko Homo”, put on the “Devo” katakana T-shirt, and played “Smart Patrol/Mr. DNA” is still fresh even now. Other than that, you can experience the shocking performance, including the Stones’ “Satisfaction”, which was a hot topic at the time, for a total of 44 minutes that is also a must-see. PRO-SHOT COLOR NTSC Approx. 44min. 1. Intro 2. Secret Agent Man 3. Satisfaction 4. Too Much Paranoia 5. Uncontrollable Urge 6. Mongoloid 7. Jocko Homo 8. Smart Patorol 9. Mr. DNA 10. Sloppy 11. Come Back Jonee 12. Gut Feeling 13. Devo Corporate Anthem 14. Red-Eye Express [Live at Budokan, Tokyo, Japan 28th May 1979]
