Description
Derek and the Dominos are the band that created “LAYLA,” which Eric Clapton poured his most passion into in his long career. Their completely unreleased live sound source has been newly discovered! This sound source, which was suddenly uploaded on the internet, was recorded by the audience during their first UK tour in August 1970, shortly after the band was formed. The date and location of the performance are unknown even to the person who uploaded it, but an upgraded version was released online last year, and our store has also released a CD. Marquee Club on August 11th, Bournemouth on the 18th, And it is different from the sound source of Malvern on the 14th, which has a previously released version. In other words, it is the genuine sound source of Dominos that first appeared. Unfortunately, it was only recorded for about 30 minutes in total, and the last number was an incomplete recording of only the 18 seconds of the intro, and it contains some hiss and chirping noise due to aging, but it is still very inconsistent considering it was recorded at the time. I was surprised at how clear and clear the sounds of the instruments were. It is very easy to listen to with a sound quality close to the famous audience source of the Electric Factory performance in Philadelphia on October 16th of the American tour that took place after this. Clapton’s playing is clearly captured in just 30 minutes. Clapton’s playing, where he depresses the wah-wah pedal and plays an aggressive solo, makes you feel the energy unique to this period full of youth. In particular, the long solo in Bad Boy from his first solo album, which was only featured on this tour, and the groove of the jam session where the band came together are worth listening to. Even if you are not a Clapton fan, this is a very important record in rock history as it allows you to confirm the potential of the band during the period leading up to that “LAYLA”. Another new page has been added to Clapton’s history. UK Tour August 1970 (Venue & Date: Unknown) TRULY AMAZING SOUND(30:50) 1. Roll It Over 2. Blues Power 3. Have You Ever Loved A Woman 4.
