Description
This outtake sound source was a live sound source that included a surprising take that was the first public release in Japan of Derek and the Dominos, which Eric Clapton admitted was the best band in his career. Moreover, it was a perfect stereo sound board and master quality that was comparable to the sound quality of the official live version. Dominos’ official live albums “IN CONCERT” and “LIVE AT THE FILLMORE” were produced from both late shows at the Fillmore East on October 23 and 24, 1970, and are the original complete versions of both days. The stereo soundboard source included in the recording and part of the stereo soundboard source from the early show on October 23rd have been leaked by related parties and have been released underground in the past. Let me once again write down the contents of the leaked sound source. ★October 23, 1970 Early Show Got To Get Better In A Little While Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad Have You Ever Loved A Woman Presence Of The Lord Little Wing ★October 23, 70 Late Show Got To Get Better In A Little While Key To The Highway Tell The Truth Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad Blues Power Have You Ever Loved A Woman Bottle Of Red Wine Presence Of The Lord Little Wing Let It Rain Crossroads ★October 24, 70 Late Show Got To Get Better In A Little While Tell The Truth Nobody Knows You When You’re Down And Out Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad Presence Of The Lord Blues Power Have You Ever Loved A Woman Key To The Highway Bottle Of Red Wine Roll It Over A project that complements the Let It Rain Little Wing official live albums “IN CONCERT” and “LIVE AT THE FILLMORE” while also having fun listening and comparing with the official version, the result is a 4-disc set. In other words, “IN CONCERT” is a high-quality CD version of Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (discs 1 & 2), and three songs that were not included there but were replaced when “LIVE AT THE FILLMORE” was released. 4 additional songs recorded as an expanded version are included on one CD (disc 3), and this collection of outtakes is included on disc 4. With this one set, you can easily enjoy Dominos’ Fillmore with the highest sound quality. That’s how it turned out. When we examined the songs “IN CONCERT” and “LIVE AT THE FILLMORE,” we found that the pitch of all takes was 20% higher by a semitone. The reason is unclear, whether it was intentional at the time of production or an unexpected situation, but the unbelievable result was that the pitch of the official take was higher. Therefore, we took this opportunity to return all the official takes to the pitch they were originally played at and record them. The pitch of this collection of outtakes was also 20% higher by a semitone, so it was corrected to the original pitch. In other words, on this board, you can listen to the entire version at the original pitch that Dominos was playing at Fillmore East. Furthermore, as you already know, this collection of outtakes is not just a collection of takes that are not duplicates of the official ones; track 4, Blues Power, is a take that has never seen the light of day until now. There was a shock. This genuine take will be the first appearance and the first excavation. In that case, I’m curious about the identity of the person who uploaded this sound source to DIME just from this one song, so who on earth could upload such a sound source? It seems that it was probably an engineer or staff member at the time who was able to obtain a copy of the original master related to Dominos’ Fillmore. In addition, the mix difference from the 23rd take was mixed into the 24th set, so the true late show take of Bottle Of Red Wine on the 24th, which had been misunderstood and believed to be the 24th take for many years, was It finally saw the light of day this year, and this person has been generously picking it up. In other words, it is thought that “he” is the person who has the master tape of the early show on the 23rd and the master tape of the late show on the 23rd & 24th. Even enthusiasts who have collected all of Dominos’ Fillmore Live releases cannot ignore this album as it has a different concept and can be enjoyed. Moreover, if you are a general Clapton fan or rock fan, you will be able to truly enjoy the outtakes where you can listen to improvisational play and performance that is different from the official one, along with all the songs on the official live album. This “outtake collection” contains amazing performances that can be said to have been deleted from the official edition because the performance was not good enough. Clapton, playing and singing, and the flaming Dominos are here too. All takes from the official album convey the true essence of Derek and the Dominos, and this collection of outtakes complements that and further demonstrates just how great of a band the Dominos were. We will release the definitive version of “Dominos Fillmore”, which attracts the attention of enthusiasts, on a CD that has been adjusted to normal pitch only by our store. (Remastered memo) Fixed the pitch of all tracks to be over 20% higher than a semitone. It has an acoustic piano in it, so this should be fine. For the first time in history, you can listen to the 1970 Fillmore Live at the correct pitch and speed as it was played on the day.
