Description

Upgrade Master of Derek and the Dominos, arguably the best band of Eric Clapton’s life! This time, the Lyceum performance in London on October 11, 1970 has been carefully remastered with non-equalizing from an open reel source, and a significantly upgraded sound source has been uploaded. Originally, the sound source of this day had been distributed among European tape traders for a long time, and was released in Japan under the previously released title “Ballroom Blitz”. However, the sound quality of this board has improved incomparably. However, since it is an audience recording from 1970, the sound image is monaural and is not as clear as a modern source, but there is no doubt that the previously released version will no longer be necessary. This venue was also the place where they made their live debut, but this gig was held at the same time as they returned home after flying to Miami and completing the recording of their masterpiece “LAYLA” after their UK tour in August. Ta. For that reason, it is extremely valuable as the earliest sound source where you can listen to live versions of numbers such as Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad, Keep On Growing, Nobody Knows When You Are Down & Out, and Bell Bottom Blues. In Tell The Truth, you can listen to Clapton showing off a slide play directly inherited from Duane Allman in Miami. In the previously released edition, the band’s sound was in a lumpy state and was difficult to listen to, but in this edition, it is at a level that is enough to withstand listening. Moreover, it includes two songs that were not included on the previously released edition: Keep On Growing and Let It Rain. Clapton and the band’s play here is full of fiery passion and backed by outstanding technique. Please listen to the passionate play of young Clapton, singing and playing with all his might. It can be asserted that the highest grade and content of this existing sound source is this edition. 1. Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad 2. Tell The Truth 3. Blues Power 4. Have You Ever Loved A Woman 5. Keep On Growing 6. Nobody Knows When You Are Down And Out 7. Bottle Of Red Wine8. Little Wing 9. Roll It Over 10. Bell Bottom Blues 11. Let It Rain Eric Clapton – Guitar, Vocals Bobby Whitlock – Keyboards, Vocals Carl Radle – Bass Jim Gordon – Drums
